I am reading through the Obama push-back on the Corsi book to get ready for an appearance on Hannity and Colmes tonight, and the shoddy work product put out by Obama could well throw fuel on the fire. Corsi's certainly got errors in his book, but Obama's team is trying too hard when they assert about unrepentant terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn in response to Corsi that "AYERS AND DOHRN ARE MEMBERS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT WITH TIES TO THE MAYOR" (p. 16 of the Obama document) or that with regard to Alice Palmer --the Illinois State Senator that Obama's team had removed from the ballot in his first race for state office, that "PALMER PULLED HER OWN PLUG." (p. 18.)
On page 9, Obama's defense brief asserts: OBAMA HAS MADE CLEAR REPEATEDLY THAT HE STOPPED USING MARIJUANA IN COLLEGE, WHICH PEERS HAVE AFFIRMED." But the Corsi assertion being responded to here also pointed out that Obama has yet to answer questions of whether he ever dealt drugs, and the single assertion about quitting that Obama's team cites is from an interview in '03, which is hardly "repeatedly."
I am just getting started, but Obama seems to have made a huge mistake in attempting to spin many of these charges. Most of them are matters of opinion --such as the interpretation of Michelle Obama's "not been proud of America" comment or whether Hamas endorsed Obama. By throwing this much fuel on the fire, the fire gets bigger and all of these stories/charges./assertions get more attention. Corsi is the happiest man in the world tonight because Obama's team not only gave him a few million dollars of publicity, they also failed to discredit him completely.
But the key error is that now Obama will have to do the same thing forDavid Freddoso's extremely well-researched and documented book. Looking forward to that "push-back" as well.
I don’t doubt for a second that Ayers and Dohrn are part of the establishment. That doesn’t mean that they’re all right. It does, however, say a lot about the rotten establishment that produces a candidate like Obama.
I watched you Hugh, and the other “guests” and I could not believe how the pro-Obama lib (can’t remember his name) was literally LYING ABOUT OBAMA. Blatantly. And Hannity was calling him on it. They just have no shame, no morals, no ethics and no substance. They are just simply criminals and thugs who want to dismantle Constitutional America and gain power over it.

By taking this action, Obama has made sure all these issues get a lot more attention than they would have otherwise. I am sure he is going to try to spin it as a "nasty Republican smear", but now that he has officially engaged it, he is going to have to answer some potentially uncomfortable questions.
About the not dedicating the book to the family,
That’s a big mistake,
unless Corsi is reading the first edition
and Obama added it to recent editions.

The other “lie” that is brought up is about who found the house first. Corsi implies it was Redzko and the Obama camp says it was Michele. I kid you not. They have an issue with that. Who found the house first. The rebuttal from the Obama camp doesn’t talk about the two editions of Obama’s autobiography. They make no mention of that.
Most of their points of contention are with Corsi’s lines that start as “Critics say....” and then goes on to make a point. The arguments are really toward the source. They don’t dispute the sources. It’s like they are upset a different slant is on the information than what they want. Most of the so-called “lies” are not really lies but differences in interpretation or opinion. I hope this gets brought out every day. It should be answered and not linger. Everyone should pick out a “lie” and do some research on it. It won’t be too difficult. It’s just hard for one person to do all the rebutting. We should not let this go unanswered.

Why would Hugh assert that “Corsi’s certainly got errors in his book” and provide no examples at all of those supposed errors?
But I expect it to do some damage.
It’ll take days and weeks to sort out what Obama can or cannot refute, and the presence of any errors in the book.

Well, apparently Dr. Corsi has said some outlandish things, for which he has apologized and for which, to my knowledge, caused no harm to anyone in particular. So, he should be scrutinized. I think that is fair. I think he is okay with it as well. The more scrutiny, the more buzz, the better the book sells. So, we can help it along be participating!

I have just skimmed the first 30 pages of the tirade.
They accuse Corsi of lying because he implies that the Obamas married and bought a condo circa 1995 when the correct dates were a few years earlier. This is hair-splitting about the meaning of the words “had just bought.”
What’s absolutely hysterical is that these same people call Bob Beckel “A REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST.”
