A truce protects georgia?
I see nothing protecting georgia.
And who will protect those who do nothing now?

The US of course. As always. Bring on the Libertarians!
lets just all crawl into our caves and hope the russians don’t do any more incursions onto sovereign territory. and lets hope the Palis just calm down. And lets hope the Iranians make their nukes but just let them collect dust...

After all...as Obama said, This is the time for HOPE!

There seem to be a number of not-so-clever pro-commie posts here. Comrades, get a clue...

Militarily, there is lots we can do, so drop that lie.
Someone said there is wisdom in knowing when not to fight. There is also wisdom in knowing when to fight.

Russian control of Georgia is bad news. Period. Their presence is unacceptable to America, Europe, Asia, and the rest of the world. So, Russia is mostly alone in enjoying their deceit. Plus, the pressure to get them OUT of Georgia will only grow.

So, the real wisdom will be in the Russian leaders recognizing that it is in their better interests to leave Georgia sooner rather than later. To be forced out in a manner not unlike Afghanistan is an embarassment to be avoided. So, Putin, pull out now while the pulling out is good.
