Nope. No. Never and Not. I won’t vote for a social liberal, pro-Palestinian Foggy Bottom screw-up who is ambiguous at best about Obama. Rice has also stressed she won’t run for any office after her time as SecState is up.
Unfortunately she has refused to date. But worse than that in the last interview with her that I watched she refused to take any stance against obama. Seemed to almost repeat Powell’s words.

With Governor Palin however we would get an conservative, female executive who would be attractive for conservatives and some female Clinton backers.

This presidential campaign is ALREADY about race. We dismiss this at our own peril.
Rice might be better known, but most of her politics are weak and barely conservative. Her only (partial) strength is Foreign Policy, which McCain has already cornered. He needs a social and economically conservative Veep, preferably from the executive branch. Palin would be fine. Cantor (although no executive) is also fine. Pawlenty and Romney have some drawbacks... but well... uh... hmmm... I could live with them. There are of course some other acceptable choices... Jindal for example. The litmus test is border security and pro-life stance.
And guess who’s on Fox News Sunday tomorrow?
Hint: NOT Governor Palin...
Could it be because Rice is our SecState and we have a major international crisis from which she is just returning!? Not everything is about Veep picks.

The Russians dictated the terms, the French pretended to be the midwives, the Georgians suffered what they must and Condi Rice, voice quivering, stood around as window dressing.

If I were you, I would not bring up the Georgia "ceasefire" as an example of a stunning triumph for Condi Rice.
First of all, Condi Rice had little to do with it and, secondly, it was a resounding Russian victory that has given a legal fig leaf to Russian aggression while the European Union, with a population almost three times larger than Russia, cowers in fear of making the Russians "angry".

McCain will need someone who can creditably go up against She Who Must Not Be Named. There's only one person who can do that.

Look, you all know I’m as conservative as any of you out there.
I’m just looking at November and what could be the best way for us to win, considering the silly-putty nature of the general electorate.
If you think “conservative only” will solidify the vote, cool. However, the liberal press and “change” voters I fear won’t be as accommodating.
Saakashvilli foolishly walked into a well laid KGB trap. It was Rice’s job to extricate him, and the Georgian state, from that trap. She did so in a praiseworthy manner.
Russia enjoys absolute strategic supremacy in the Near Abroad theater. No one is going to go to war for Georgia. This is reality. Putin baited Saakashvili into responding to South Ossettian provocations, and now the Georgians have paid with the loss of two of their provinces.
There will be long-term political consequences for Russia’s actions, primarily in the Middle East and in Europe, but for now, Russia wins a small victory. This is Russia’s backyard. Rice’s wisdom was to recognize it as such, and compel Saakashvilli to act accordingly.
We have larger fish to fry, in Iran and elsewhere.

Rice will be rejected by the vast majority Blacks as a “token uncle tom”. They will stay Democrat to 90+ %. Forget about them. Those who prioritize foreign policy are already well served by McCain. Rice adds NOTHING to McCain’s strengths. Then she is a social liberal, which is an election killer for McCain. He needs someone who is socially conservative.
