During an interview with Larry King, Bill Maher went on a diatribe about the stupidity of the American people, because he is dumbfounded by the 2/3 of Americans who believe that offshore drilling will bring gas prices down. King, not realizing he was about to insult the average caller who phones into his show each evening along with the millions who watch him in his own audience, simply asked Maher if he agreed with essayist H.L. Menken who said, No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people. Video

Yeah, Larry King calling anyone “dumb”...that’s rich.

Are Larry King and Bill Maher still around? I thought those guys had gone home to “spend more time with the family.” Man, now there’s a couple of losers.

Of course not! Anyone who isn't an utter fool knows that supply has nothing to do with demand or cost. When oh when will we stop our foolish ways and learn from the wisdom of smarmy hack comedians and senile talk show hosts?

Gosh, these liberals are so brilliant! Genuflect to these enlightened beings! Nothing is beyond their ken! Thank God we are saved from seemingly common sense folly by such munificent omniscience of the great ones!

Oops, great ones! Great Ones!

I won't watch either one of those losers.

"...Bill Maher went on a diatribe about the stupidity of the American people..."Maher is an idiot. The guy hosted a show called "Politically Incorrect" which was nothing but a bunch of politically CORRECT morons, led by Maher, having a nightly circle jerk over how great their political CORRECTNESS was. Maher was too stupid to even know what being "politically incorrect" was at the time. And Larry King questioning the intelligence of anyone? Bwahahahahahah. That's hysterical, Lare.
