Hillary Clinton Supporters Rendezvous with McCain Operatives(including her brother!)
Fox News ^ | August 20, 2008 | Brett Bahr

Posted on 08/20/2008 6:05:03 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

One of Hillary Clinton's brothers and some Pennsylvania Democrats who backed her presidential bid socialized Monday with a top adviser to Republican John McCain. The Scranton Times-Tribune reports Tony Rodham attended a gathering hosted by political consultant Jamie Brazil, a longtime friend of the Clintons. Brazil is a paid national director of the Citizens for McCain coalition.

Also there, McCain top economic adviser Carly Fiorina. The other guests included an attorney who coordinated Clinton's presidential campaign in northeast Pennsylvania during the primary election, and the sister of Scranton Democratic Mayor Chris Doherty.

Under Wraps

The company producing John McCain's political ads is refusing to reveal the identity of the narrator used in the campaign's most recent commercials. The Politico newspaper reports chairman of the company Strategic Perception Fred Davis III says, "We consider that a corporate secret."

The woman who narrates the now-famous McCain ad "Celeb" has also been used in three other commercials attacking Barack Obama. Her voice is described by some at the company as "pleasant to listen to" and "an every-woman's voice."

What is known is that her first name is Joan and that she began doing political voice-overs about a year ago. The Politico reports the business is desperate for new and unfamiliar voices and that is why the company is so tight-lipped_about Joan's identity.

Commercial Appeal

Senators Obama and McCain plan to pull all campaign ads that criticize each other on September 11. The candidates say they want to honor the memory of those who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks.

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said, "9/11 is not a day for politics," and Obama spokesman_Hari_Sevugan said, "We hope September 11 is a day when Americans come together and reaffirm our resolve to address the common challenges we face together."

OK first bear with me here! These are the comments from TexasDarlin.wordpress.com, per Se ME!

TommyJoe // August 20, 2008 at 7:08 pm

TexasDarlin,
Actually I am not a Democrat, I am a Conservative Republican, but I have to comment on this, it is trickery at it’s best, Kind of like playing space invaders in the old days when it was first introduced, I could not be beaten, because I had figured out the programming as to what was to happen next. Unfortunately he “Obambi” has done nothing wrong in his attempt to be the President. With the exception of his evasiveness, which also can be attributed to the above video game, I was asked mant times how I did that, i just shrugged and said i was just lucky, when in fact i had figured out how to beat the system. The problem here is to let the American people that there is a system, and it has been broken/cracked/hacked or whatever you want to call it.

I look at it as may the best person win, and unfortunately it is not Obambi, if we “the Republican candidate should loose, I would completely rather see Hillary in than Obambi, at least SHE is straight forward and her motivation has been defined.

#

Ridgeliner // August 20, 2008 at 8:23 pm

TD, TommyJoe…..

On the Obama Groups and other more radical left sites, on of the main complaints against Hillary is often cited as her working with McCain and other Republicans to pass legislation!

We all need to realize these minions of the “Chosen One” so hate our democracy, so hate any opposing ideology, they will put our entire country at risk to triumph.
#

purplechiten // August 20, 2008 at 8:42 pm

People are so afraid to speak out and give the nomination to it’s rightful owner, Hillary Clinton, because they are afraid the Obama supporters will riot. They know the Hillary supporters won’t riot because we are generally responsible adults. We’ll file papers, we’ll try to appeal, we’ll do all the legal things we can do, but we won’t riot in the streets, destroy public and private property or do physical harm to other people. The Obama supporters will and this is the reason they want to give the undeserved nomination to Obama. This is wrong on so many levels. What do they think the Obama supporters will do when he loses to McCain in an election they can’t control? They will do the same, they’ll riot, they’ll destroy, they’ll physically harm anyone in their way. So, are we going to cave in because we’re afraid? It’s going to happen either now or in November. Either way, when Obama loses, his supporters will riot and possibly even kill other people. Are we going to give him the General Election as well to prevent the riots?
I say we take a stand and do what’s right for the country, do what’s right for the party, do what’s right period. When they riot, then THEY can be the ones in the metal cages set up for “us” in Denver. When they riot, they can go to jail or be confronted by the police and National Guard (the part that isn’t fighting in Iraq if there are any left). Instead of caving in to their demands, we need to stand on principal and allow law enforcement to handle the riots that will ensue either now or in November. We cannot be so afraid of what his supporters will do that we just hand them whatever they want. This isn’t freedom, this is tyrany and Obama is the tyrant.
If we are going to live under the fear of what his supporters will do, we have already given up the rights and freedom that our ancestors have fought for over the past 230+ years.
A stand will have to be made and the sooner it is made, the better. Law enforcement will already be in place in Denver to contain “us” (who are not dangerous or willing to kill others), so we may as well give the Law enforcement something to do by nominating the correct candidate, letting them riot and stepping back, allowing the Law enforcement step in and take care of it. If we do any less, we are not only giving away our party’s nomination, we are giving away the freedoms and rights that this country was founded upon.
Obama surrounds himself with thugs and criminals to intimidate others. We have to stand up and let him know that his intimidation isn’t going to work. The rest of the nation doesn’t work like chicago. We aren’t of the mob (or mobster) mentality and we will not be forced into complacity by intimidation. We either stand now or stand in November. If we wait until November, we’ve lost Hillary Clinton who we NEED to clean up the mess bush has made. We have to stand now, we have to stand strong and we have to stand together or go ahead and allow bush to start the fire that will burn the constitution and obama can dust the ashes of it from his shoulders.
Benjamin Franklin said: Ma’am, we have given you a democratic republic, if you can keep it.

Anything that is of value is worth fighting for. The US Constitution is worth fighting for with our very lives because our very lives depend on it. Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro is not above the law and he will NOT destroy MY country with his lies, deceit, crimes and intimidation. I am not afraid of Obama, I’m afraid of losing the Constitution and will not allow that to happen in my lifetime. The thugs and henchmen will not rule our country, we have a well trained military to keep them from it and laws to prevent them from taking over. It’s time we exercise our rights and say NOBAMA, Not now, Not ever! I Own my Vote and I will NOT give it to him!

TommyJoe // August 20, 2008 at 9:05 pm

Ridgeliner,

But that is what makes this a great Democracy, crossing the fence, crossing the isle or what ever people want to call it, to do the best for ALL American people. I personally, IMHO, do not believe that Obambi is up to that, it is going to be his way or no way, if you step across the isle your going to get stepped on! There will always be a VALID reason, that is why there are Lawyers and not us!

One more thought. If Hillary does become the dimocRAT nominee we need to remember this meeting. It can be said that Hillary conspired to keep Barry from becoming the nominee. A certain segment of the dimocRAT voting block will not like that. Hehehehehe.

Well, I for one am shocked - shocked! - at the implication that the dear, saintly Mrs. Clinton would stoop so low as to torpedo her own party's candidate so that she could get the nomination in 2012. Why, that would be devious. Manipulative. Mendacious. Has anyone ever known that gentle, innocent creature to act that way?

I can see it now - Obama gets the nomination in Denver in a hail of falling balloons, McCain holds off on naming his VP, and the very next week there is a drum roll in Minneapolis and there, standing next to McCain, carbide steel teeth glinting in her famous death-rictus smile, stands She Who Must Not Be Named, the next Dick Cheney!

Would it be worth the death of the entire United States in the inevitable flaming holocaust that follows just to see the heads exploding on that one? Yeah, probably. ;-)

I have always thought Bill & Hillary have the birth certificate information and proof.
Could this be the reason for the meeting.
The date of birth and place of birth has to be public soon. Time is running out.
If it is to help Hillary, then we will know this month.
If McCain, could be by the end of October.

Okay, hear me out... here’s my theory. Clinton is negotiating with McCain for her endorsement. McCain could offer her a seat on his cabinet... he’s obviously not going to pick her for VP. This would be incredibly advantageous to her for a number of reasons:

1) She can avoid the whole floor fight at the convention. A floor fight for the Democratic nod could backfire on her, and effectively end any future chance at a Presidential run. The Clintons would completely wear out their welcome and would be seen as a divisive force in the party.

2) By forgoing a floor fight if she just simply endorses McCain over Obama she can claim she is doing it out of principle not party and her “fears that Barry is dangerous.” Now initially this would tick of Dems, but her stock among independents would go up... Barry would stand zero chance in the general election and she would again get her chance in 2012.

3) In a McCain administration she could simply do her job and would seen by many sheeple as a unifying force. After 2-3 years she could announce and state she’s running because she doesn’t think McCain is “taking the country in the right direction,” “McCain isn’t feeling the pain of the little guy...” blah, blah, blah.

Seriously, if she endorses McCain the election is a blowout... a blowout of Reagan/Mondale proportions.

Yancy

Why do you support Barack Obama?

Your question to rabscuttle385 supposes that because someone does not support one candidate, they must support the other. Faulty logic. Extremely faulty. Refusing to support all evils, lesser or otherwise, is the issue. You are purposely attempting to obfuscate that. You and the RNC assume that our votes are bought and paid for and can be taken for granted no matter who is running.

To show the faulty logic: if by not supporting McAmnesty, I am supporting Obama, then what if I vote for Obama? Am I supporting him twice as much then? Ludicrous thinking. Or the lack thereof.

They'll be at the Dems' convention in Denver when that text message goes out...about 2 minutes before Obama makes the announcement.

This is because *Obama* himself doesn't yet know who he will pick. The man can't make up his own mind about a flavor of ice cream, much less his VP candidate.

The campaign to discredit McCain is a campaign that helps Obama. Obama is a socialist, and whatever faults McCain has...and he has them. I will not help, in any way shape or form, elect a socialist. Would I prefer someone other than McCain? Certainly. BUT..........

The deformed logic of you and your ilk is to make McCain and Obama the same, which is itself a fabrication. Support or non support of the RNC is hardly the issue, the issue is to NOT elect a socialist. Since you and the original poster seem to be working against John McCain, you are defacto working to elect a socialist, and that I cannot support.

Now, if you were not misrepresenting the facts, and Obama (or some other Democrat) and McCain WERE the same, I might agree. But they are not the same, and your weak and pathetic attempts to make something so, that is clearly NOT so, stand as an affront to reason and logic.

Tyranny is around the corner in the cloak of a Russian flag, and efforts such as the efforts of your ilk, to elect someone that allows that tyranny to not only exist, but FLOURISH, is sad. To help elect a person that would steer this country RADICALLY to the left...into uncharted leftist territory puts you in the enemies’ camp.

You and others should at least own your goal, to shove socialism right into the face of America, so you can have your precious “see I told you”. The problem? This time it isn’t just 4 more years to sit through....it is the very survival of this country. Considering the global situation, that isn’t hyperbole, it is real. Damn real...and people like you should wake up to the consequences of your actions.

No amount of spin will change the consequences.

Therefore I see this election in a naive, comic book way, you are either against evil, or you are for evil. Electing Obama is to bring the evil to our doorstep, and since the actions supported by you and others aim to help bring that evil....I shall continue to point it out.

There may come a time to take a stand such as the one you suggest, but this is not that time. I will take a sleepy guard for the henhouse, as opposed to letting the wolf dine.

Interesting theory.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think anyone could snatch the dem nomination away from Hillary. I’m speculating the propagandists knew they could not sustain Clinton Inc. any longer, as it was well beyond its expiration date, and they left a bad taste in many more American’s mouths than just Monica’s. They needed a tabula rasa. Enter Barack.

There was ZERO downside to the propagandists support of Barack. First, it got them out from under the covers with/of Clinton Inc., somewhat restoring their damaged credibility. Second, even if Barack loses to McCain, they can continue to run the racism/victim template against their ideological opponents and continue to act like advocates for the downtrodden well into the future (or until they go out of business). Third, if Barack wins, it validates the power of the propagandist, and they each (Barack and the propagandists) remain a viable entity in their twisted minds.

Hillary is over. Thanks Barack.

The propagandists days are numbered. Thanks truth lovers. Thanks FReedom lovers.

Fiorina = TROUBLE!

HP paid her about 20 mill or so to get rid of her.

I wish I was that kind of "trouble".

You are having a logic meltdown once again. You are making assumptions that are false, and then making statements based on those assumptions as if they were proven.

We never stated that the two candidates are the same. You came up with that all by yourself out of thin air.

The issue IS whether to support a given candidate. You've assumed that that is NOT the issue and it's all about not electing Obama. You have twisted what elections are about to suit your own agenda, right or wrong.

I'm not working against McCain nor am I working for Obama. I don't go door to door talking about him or try to convince anyone else how they should vote. Unlike you and the rest of the McCainiacs. I state my own opinion and give others the respect to have their own as well. Without telling them what to do. Try it sometime. It's the conservative way. What you are doing is the liberal way. (not surprising, since you are pushing a liberal candidate)
