McCain's campaign was in the ballpark associating BO with Paris and Britney but missing the strike zone.
Its tagline was: A star is... created.
It's about a producer (played by Al Pacino) whose star actress walks off the set and he needs to find someone to fill in.
By quirk, a virtual actress falls into Pacino's lap and proceeds to make this illusion the movie's star.
Pacino sets up guarded 'interviews' and even lets Simone 'on stage' by means of holographic wizardry.
Hence the inevitable analogy to DNC Chair Howard Dean frantically in search of a viable candidate creating one. Out of thin air.
Just like BO, no one in the press really knows anything about Simone. But in Simone's case the press cares to. No one knows his background or are trying not to let it out. Have they even found his birth certificate yet? It's known he's from...west of the contiguous 48 (that's contiguous 55 in Obama-speak) but publicly not known for sure. Who's his daddy again? We hear mostly about his "white grandmother" though.
When/If Obama shows up for a debate, I'd have the place scanned for holographic generators just to be on the safe side.
Forget Paris and Britney, Simone is the one to compare Obama to.
Simone and Obama--no there there and both figments of our imaginations.
The scene at the concert where they use lots and lots of smoke and confiscate all cameras, camcorders and binoculars would be apropos vis a vis Bambi!

Wonder if Britany and Paris will object to Obama calling them a ‘mess’? They SHOULD. LOL
That would be so hilarious.
Re Helen Thomas. Be careful - she bites.
