Media Mob Prompts 'Black-List' Threat From Attorney
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The mother of a missing Orlando girl said, "I'm innocent" before walking out of jail and encountering a frenzied mob of reporters and photographers in a case that continues to grab national attention
Casey Anthony, 22, left the Orange County Jail Thursday after celebrity bounty hunter Leonard Padilla helped post her $500,000 bail.
Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, said she wanted to walk out of the jail with her head held high before being rushed by the media.
"Just as we were walking out, I covered her up and she stopped me, and you may notice we stopped for a brief moment and she told me in my ear that she wanted me to take the umbrella down and she said to me, 'Jose, I'm innocent and I'm going to walk out of this place with my head held high.' We were about to do that and you all bombarded us. You could have had all of the photographs you wanted."
Baez then threatened to possibly cut off some media channels.
"I discussed certain things with the family and what we've decided that if there are any channels or media outlets that continue that type behavior or violate their privacy by coming on their property -- basically crossing the line and I think you are all adults and you know what crossing the line is and what aggressive reporting is and things like that is," Baez said. "That is not going to happen any more. If you do, we will cut off that channel from any interviews and any statements and that channel can get their news from another channel. If you want to be on that black list or whatever you want to call it, continue that type of behavior. We are just not going to put up with it. We don't have to put up with that."
Baez said someone tried to get underneath an umbrella shielding Anthony.
"I didn't know if they were going attack us or what they were going to do," Baez said. "I don't know any of you from anywhere. No one should be invading anyone's private space that way. I ask you and plead with you all to please respect my privacy and my client's privacy and her family's."
Baez said he was disgusted by the crowd's actions.
"No one has the right to go pushing against me or her just to get a sound bite," Baez said. "To be quite honest with you, I was really disgusted by the whole thing."
Anthony: 'I Want Hot Shower'
Padilla said he heard one request from Anthony after leaving jail and reuniting with her family.
"I want to get a hot shower (she said)," according to Padilla. "She went into her mother's arm. Her mother said, 'Hey,' and (Casey) said, 'I want to get a shower.'"
Padilla said the family gathering was emotional and they were hugging.
Before her release, there was speculation that Anthony would not leave jail.
"I never had a doubt (she would be freed)," Padilla said. "I didn't come 3,000 miles to have some local bullies bluff us. She is out."
Casey Anthony was fitted with an ankle bracelet and will be placed on home confinement at her parents' house.
Her daughter, Caylee, 3, has been missing since mid-June and was reported missing by her mother in mid-July after Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony.
Casey Anthony was arrested and charged with child neglect, filing a false statement and obstructing an investigation.
Earlier, threats against the family if Casey Anthony leaves jail prompted Cindy Anthony to consider the use of a safe house.
"Right here, I don't think is the ideal place for her not because we don't want her in the house and everything, but we may have to hole her up somewhere in a safe house," Cindy Anthony said.
“’Jose, I’m innocent and I’m going to walk out of this place with my head held high.’Call my cynical, but I just have a hard time believing this was said.”
That is EXACTLY what I think too.
Maybe OJ will invite Casey to join him on the golf course looking for The Real Killer.
She is a phenomenally self-absorbed individual. Worthy of studying, quite frankly.

its very hard for me to look at a pic of caylee, she could pass for my little 2 yr olds twin. its gut wrenching. i even had a friend the other day tell me the first time she saw her pic she thought it was my little girl.

yep, one of those first jail phone calls, before they realized they were being recorded, where her mother was having a breakdown, and she was just as cold as any person I've ever heard, not moved at all by the anguish of her own mother or by the possible fate of her own child. Chilling.
The evidence against the mom is pretty compelling, not reporting the daughter missing, ever. Being out partying during that time. A car that smellled like death. Two reported stolen gas cans from her father that was recovered from her car. Cell phone calls from the mom’s phone from a heavily wooded area a day after the little girl went missing. That’s just the tip of the ice-berg.
She never reported her daughter missing, her mother did. After her mother noticed that her daughter’s car smelled like a dead person had been in there.
So your baby is gone and the first thing you utter is you want a shower?!! Some caller last night on Nancy Grace said maybe being surrounded by Caylee’s things may do something to break her but this girl is one cold bitch!
If she was able to party after her child was missing, if she said nothing for a month, if she only cries when “she” does not get something she wants, she will never be affected by being around her child’s items.
She is a sociopath and they care only for what they want - people are merely a means to get what they want.
This story is too fishy. She does not even have a clue “how” to carry off the role of a mother.
Does not look like a good outcome.

You think that’s bad, check this out, the other night I heard her bondsman say that the first thing she wanted to do when she got out ot jail was to get her nails done. Honestly, that women needs more then a manicure and a shower. It’s unreal!!!!

I wonder if Casey will sleep with Caylee's stuffed toys tonight .... or has Cindy disposed of them so Casey won't be traumatized? As if she could be.

In the end she killed her 3 yr old child - and the only people who do not accept that are the same people who believe tht Bigfoot was a frozen gorilla costume.
your not crazy at all. she is playing everyone for all she is worth but in the end the truth will be known and she will pay. its such a shame a little innocent beautiful girl such as caylee has to be the victim. makes me want to cry everytime i see it on the news.
