Why Obama Really Voted For Infanticide
National Review Online ^ | 8-22-08 | Andrew McCarthy

Posted on 08/22/2008 7:15:50 AM PDT by Renfield

There wasn’t any question about what was happening. The abortions were going wrong. The babies weren’t cooperating. They wouldn’t die as planned. Or, as Illinois state senator Barack Obama so touchingly put it, there was “movement or some indication that, in fact, they’re not just coming out limp and dead.”

No, Senator. They wouldn’t go along with the program. They wouldn’t just come out limp and dead.

They were coming out alive. Born alive. Babies. Vulnerable human beings Obama, in his detached pomposity, might otherwise include among “the least of my brothers.” But of course, an abortion extremist can’t very well be invoking Saint Matthew, can he? So, for Obama, the shunning of these least of our brothers and sisters — millions of them — is somehow not among America’s greatest moral failings.......

Thanks. I know I have seen a number of references to this hospital connection earlier, though not recently, but wasn’t sure how accurate they were or where they originated. If it’s the hospital that Jill Stanek worked for, then that’s especially damning.

Non-profits are as interested in money as anyone else, if not more so. More money means bigger salaries, more staff to order around or positions to give your relatives, more gadgets, new wings, and less sweat over fund raising.

The baby that Jill Stanek held for 45 minutes until it stopped breathing had Downs Syndrome...I have read on this forum that in Sweden close to 80% of Down Syndrome babies are aborted now...and I’ve read that in the USA the number of babies born with Down Syndrome has come down dramatically over the last decade...all these young money chasers in NYC barely have time to raise their own healthy children...a Down Syndrome child not only wouldn’t fit the image of beauty and perfection that they seek but they take a lot of work to care for...the vanity and superficiality of the elitist liberal young Left is truly chilling...they are hollow and self-absorbed for the most part...that’s why Obama is their candidate...he is them.

Amen - and it's also why he will lose. Not that many dems will change their mind regarding his sick “thinking” on this subject, but rather that Obama has taken such a psychotic stance that it will be enough for some former anti-McCainiacs to finally realize that photoshopping sombraroes on the guy is pretty silly when he's the one in this race who won't kill these babies.

Hang him out to dry, hang him high -

hoist him from his own petard and watch him try to deny

What a truly awful statement and totally indefensible

When you examine the pedigree of their ideas, what you come to understand is that the abortion issue is one of the keystones to devaluing human life. This is something that is implicit in the ideology of the Left; it's cast into their philosophical DNA.

Humans are things.

That the essence of it. Humans as fungible and ultimately disposable "assets".

This is why you've got the likes of Margaert Sanger and Dr. Peter Singer doing their damndest to move the goalposts when it comes to defining life and humanity. Singer, for wexample, has argues that infants up to 28 months old don't really have any cognitive ability that defines them as human. So it's OK to 'terminate' them if the parent (or really, the State) so chooses.

Who lives, who dies. That's the power they seek. They are all monsters, monsters from the deepest dark heart of of our existence and history is replete with the outcomes and the evidence of their sick Utopian ideas.

History also tells us what we must do to deal with them. As does my tagline.

I do think this could sink him completely. I could see a incubator with a 22 week old infant being shown with Obama’s words being used against that backdrop. Then read the first line of Declaration of Independence about life.

Couple this with his none caring about his own Brothers. He has not tried to get into contact with them nor shown any kind of interest in his extended family. He is one cold and calculating person who shows one face when he wants something from you but turns his back and shows an other face when someone else needs a favor. We are known by our deeds and not by the words we use or should I say parse.

I’m not fully aware of the extent of the relationship either. Like you, I remembered something from some time ago. I just looked on the internet and found that some of the prominent church leaders serve on the board. But I thought the relationship went deeper than that. Something about Wright doing so much in his community to enable minorities and that included the hospital. However, this needs to be studied more carefully before we make these linkages. I think they’re there, though. I just like to do my homework first and be accurate.

Actually, just today reporters from the Politico found Obama’s only law review article, which was anonymous, but the campaign has confirmed it was by Obama.

Strangely enough, the article is about whether unborn children can sue their parents for negligence. This is clearly an issue Obama was interest in since law school.

It also makes his “punished with a baby” comment more understandable.
