Biden is no threat to Obama - but no asset
In rejecting Hillary Clinton for a politician with a murky record, the presidential candidate may have lost the White House
William Rees-Mogg
Joe Biden has one crucial qualification to be the next vice-president of the United States, at least in the eyes of Barack Obama. He is not Hillary Clinton. Mr Obama has made the opposite decision to the one made by another young and relatively inexperienced Senator in 1960. John F.Kennedy distrusted and detested Lyndon Johnson, but he asked him to become his running- mate in the election because he thought that Johnson would help to deliver the Texas vote. He did, and Texas was one of the key states that took Kennedy into the White House.
Senator Biden is no Hillary Clinton; he presents no threat though little promise to Mr Obama. In the primary elections, Mrs Clinton gained 18 million votes. Among women she had a devoted following - and who still believe she should have been the candidate. If she had been on the ticket, she would have brought a lot of votes with her, as did Johnson. In rejecting her as his running-mate, Mr Obama has taken the risk that his margin of victory might be wiped out.
Mr Biden has himself twice run unsuccessfully for the presidency; in 1987 he had to withdraw before the primaries; in 2008 he failed to generate any interest in the Iowa caucuses or in New Hampshire. He has a strong record for winning votes as a senator in Delaware. There is no evidence he can win votes in a national election.

With his history as Pro-abortion and Anti-Second Amendment, Biden may generate as many negative votes as Hillary would have.
Quite right, m’Lord. Let’s not sell Joe short. He’s not an asset to the Obama campaign. No, he’s a full-sized ass.
I understand that Hillary Clinton got a lot of votes, but look the way she acted. Why should Obama be expected to pick her when she made it clear there was no love lost and that she didn’t want it anyways. I am tired of that manipulative witch. Regarding the Democratic Party, what chance do they have for anyone decent to ever find their way to the top with people like the Clinton’s (and Pelosi, and Feintstein, and Kerry, and Gore, oh lord, it’s a long list, it just goes on and on) lurking around. It is like a snake infested rat hole. Obama is just as bad in his own way. The only problem, he hasn’t been around long enough or have had enough connections to reach the depths of evil of the Clintons. But give him time, he will get there, if he already hasn’t. I feel like Obama is keeping a big secret and the American public has no idea what they are getting, there is always the possibility that he is much worse then Hillary, but that is hard to imagine.
Wait until after Rush’s show today and get back with me!!!

As soon as Vice President Biden realized he would get more face time with the cameras as President than as VP, Obama would have a Ft. Marcy Park vacation. Don't get between Joe Biden and a camera.
Why are these Democrats allowed to get away with claiming to be either Christian or Catholic and yet be promoters of baby killing? This article pointed out very well that they are exploiting their ties to religion. When a person claims to be Christian and pro-abortion, they are exploiting their religion for political gain because there is no way that any form of Christianity would ever condone that evil act against the most innocent. It’s exploitation, pure and simple. What good is a person’s religion if it cannot even acknowledge the most basic, simple truth. After all, that is the basic tenet of Christianity to recognize what the truth is. People are so twisted, what they will justify in the name of Christianity. It’s sick. Democrats are a sick bunch.
There are those who believe he helped Texas deliver something else to JFK as well.
