DNC rules undoubtedly provide for a nominee not being able to finish the campaign. In any case, the fight would be wonderful. Would Biden fight the Beast to get the nomination? In the November election, people are not voting for Obama or McCain. They are voting for ELECTORS who are PLEDGED to Obama or McCain. If Obama is found ineligible up to or on election day, the Democrat electors, when assembled in the Electoral College, would simply vote for whoever the Democrat Party told them to

Yes, I understand how the electoral college works. They don’t assemble in an Electoral College; they meet in their respective state capitals no later than Dec. 15. If Obama is found ineligible prior to the election, the DNC will not allow him to stay on the ballot. This could end up being a very interesting mess for the Dems. It would even get more interesting if he is declared ineligible after the election. But the Supreme Court will never allow that scenario. If it gets that far, the decision will be made very quickly. For whom would the electors vote? Hillary? Biden? Gore? A few electors, by the way, have not voted for the person for whom they have been pledged.
