NVESCO FIELD — The Jersey boys are coming, and we ain't talking about Frankie Valli. The Boss and Bon Jovi are ready to perform.

Multiple sources confirmed to the Rocky that Jon Bon Jovi will fly in to perform two acoustic songs before Sen. Barack Obama gives his acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Thursday night. After the speech, Bruce Springsteen will close out the night, presumably solo acoustic (E Street Band member Nils Lofgren told the Rocky last week that the band wouldn't be with Springsteen in Denver).

Springsteen's people have not returned multiple requests for comment.

I can’t believe Barack didn’t ask Ludacris, an artist he calls a friend and whose work he expressed admiration for in the past.

And Ludacris has got that hot new rap he did just for the campaign.

Why two aging white rockers?

The Obama campaign has probably promised the Hip Hop Caucus inclusion at the innauguration. Keep them in the closet until after the election...

Bruce and Jon have theirs, so they probably don't mind supporting a slick, shrewd, dishonest and ruthless man like Obama. They should both care enough about America to learn more about their candidate by reading this book:

case_against_obama

and by watching these YouTube interviews with the books author:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vi0yFPh-rhw&feature=iv

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2ijZP4pnpg

Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFcMi2nFAJQ&feature=iv

But they probably are not interested. Politicians' lies may dupe us, but it's the lies we tell ourselves that we truly regret.

These are just the names getting plugged in this article.

More entertainers for the celebrity candidate here:

Pop Stars to Descend on Democratic Convention to Party and Politic (DNC rock and hip hop concerts)

Can Obama actually pull any crowd at all without promising two rock bands and free food and drink?

“These are just the names getting plugged in this article.

But it’s Springsteen and Bon Jovi performing at at the stadium before and after Obama’s acceptance speech. They definitely got the big audience. Most other venues might not be televised, or might draw very small audiences.

“Multiple sources confirmed to the Rocky that Jon Bon Jovi will fly in to perform two acoustic songs before Sen. Barack Obama gives his acceptance speech... After the speech, Bruce Springsteen will close out the night...”

Definitely the biggest audience by far.

Definitely the biggest audience by far.

You've just unlocked the key to Obama popularity; Rock concerts before speeches. He has drawns the biggest crowds in Seattle and Germany by having popular band play before he teleprompters. His tther events since May barely gets full capacity. He got Bruce Springstein and Bon jovi to appear before him because theres no hell he was going to sell out Invesco Field. It would be funny to stage a camera outside the stadium after they finish playing to see how many people leave before BO's speech.
