for one he doesnt need to SHORE up his hispanic base, to get accolades for immigration does not endear him to true conservatives. Of course maybe I feeling a little wacky today, it would be a hoot if his past 10 years or so he was playing the proles, when he gets elected turns hard right and start securing the border and kicking illegals out.....but I know that will never happen. I have to say I agree with your sentiment. To set the agenda you MUST WIN!. Once in office and in control of the agenda, you can lead others to bedrock American principals. If this Yankee Daddy guy going against the brain dead celebrity crowd and is not supporting Obama, he's got qualities that are admirable. I say, let him join the fight to save America.
