I agree. I think, however, that if Obama loses significantly, he is going to be shocked when all the sh@t starts to rain down on his head! I think the Dems are going to be AFRAID he will run in 2012! I think they've found out that their candidate is seriously flawed and all this Rezco, et al, stuff is going to come out eventually. He is, after all, running for the Presidency, not some peanut job in Chicago, where they take these sort of charges in stride.

“Clean”, Mr. Biden? Seriously, I'm still trying to figure out who convinced Obamatron he could win this election. Maybe the Dem hierarchy just thought they could sneak him through since this is his first national election.

If they would even just cover the story generally and talk about the fact that American news outlets are being threatened by British “solicitors” for printing stories that hurt their clients’ feelings, it would be a big help.

That is an impressive list, for sure, but WE are going to have to SAVE ourselves—no one candidate can save us. It is up to us. We gotta do everything we can to get a Republican majority in the House and Senate. A Republican President would sure help, too.

I'm having a banner printed for my yard, “Vote Dem and Ride a Jackass to Work”. I know it's not about Obama’s shortcomings, but it is something everyone understands and can get behind. If it reminds only ONE person why they don't want to vote for Obama, it's all good!

Anyone know what the problem might be? The connection was all strange last night, too. I couldn't even access FreeRepublic last night. I thought it was my computer! Thank goodness it isn't.

I’m on dialup still - but not hardwire local phone company connection through to my MSN IP for my circa 2000 RCA WebTV Plus using a Panasonic 27” TV as my monitor with 2 smaller TVs as working backups

(no server needed, wireless keyboard, PIP, no viruses, instant free MSN software updates, no scans to run, no “firewalls” needed, no popups on MSN, HDTV & digital is now working great)

I’m connecting through Optimum Cable fiberoptic “Voice” (telephone) now

My audios and graphics seem to be loading and connecting much faster than on 56K dialup before

I could be wrong - but I think Optimum fiberoptic Voice is the improvement

If I changed to MSN broadband by using a new MSN-TV2 and connecting to my existing Optimum Internet Modem I would be able to speed up a bunch

But many using PCs on highspeed cable broadband IPs are also having slowness and connection problems

Last night - Sunday - Free Republic went offline and was down for a long time -

Something is not working right - even on my dinky WebTV I was able to connect much faster when I converted to using Optimum Cable Voice (phone) service - only $29.95/month for all service calling anywhere in the USA, Canada, Mexico - Worldwide option is only an additional $9.95/month I believe

- My sister’s cellphone was over $150 for just December 2007

Optimum Cable and Voice sure beats my old DirecTV satellite service - it was unreliable and fuzzy and often needed to readjust the satellite disc

And the Optimum Cable TV has a huge menu of channels at just 429.95 a month and also has dozens of great hi-fi digital stereo music channels - Golden Oldies 50s-60s, 70s, 80s, more than you can imagine

Internet and TV will all eventually use a huge HDTV screen and a small set-top receiver

I use a fast desktop and the fastest cable modem available. Usually pages load instantaneously, but FreeRepublic sure hasn't the last couple of days. I couldn't imagine what had happened, so it's sort of a relief to hear other folks are having problems, too!

That sounds like quite a setup you've got! I wish I were so gifted! (I have trouble plugging in my toaster.)
