Criminal charges were dismissed Monday against Jane Balogh, the Federal Way woman who registered her dog to vote — but not without a hiccup along the way.

King County District Court Judge Mariane Spearman dropped a misdemeanor charge of making a false or misleading statement to a public servant, based on Balogh's completion of the terms of a plea agreement reached in September 2007.

Balogh, 67, a grandmother and Army veteran, paid $240 in court costs and completed 10 hours of community service at the Tacoma Rescue Mission.

I'm sure the dems are all rushing out to register their livestock to vote for Christine Gregorie in Nov, as usual. Washington state election commitee must be pissed this great woman has exposed another way the dems stuff the ballot boxes.

I’ll bet it was as a democrat. The left is out to win by any means necessary.

It is altogether likely that the dog would have raised the average IQ of the registered voters in that party, in that locale. Just sayin’.

( Charges dropped against woman who registered her dog to vote) because the dog is registered as a Democrat.

This woman intended to take away, by cancellation, the legitimate vote of a legal voter.

There should be some punishment.

I wish that we’d prosecute these people to the full extent. This sort of BS has been becoming more and more popular and it needs to be stamped out.

Let me guess, it all came to light when someone noticed the dog was already a registered Democrat. They probably got her for double registering.

She did not intend to do anything of the sort. She registered her dog to show how criminally easy it is to cheat the American electoral system.

She should get a medal.

OK, so I didn’t read it and assumed she was a democrat seeking to vote early and often.

why do you think the homeless always appear after Republicans win.

The left creates homeless shelters in republican districts in order to create new “mobile” voters out of homeless who use the shelter as their address.

Monday's court action resolved an apparent clerical glitch that led the court to conclude in May that Balogh had failed to pay court costs or begin doing community service. One day after a May 29 hearing, Balogh sent the court a copy of the check with which she paid the $240 in court costs Sept. 5, 2007. The check cleared two days later.

So the court decided not to prosecute her for their error. How kind.

I agree with others who write this woman deserves a medal. The voter registration laws in most states are far too lax and that is why groups like ACORN are continually being investigated and indicted, but rarely convicted of voter fraud for their get out the vote campaigns for the Democrats.

Folks “ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE” is supposed to be a major element of our democracy. For too long the “silent majority” has not said anything about illegal voters.

Well, do not be surprised if the Obama ACORN organization out votes the silent majority this November through the addition of thousands of illegal voters to the roll.

She should appeal to the attorney general to prosecute up the chain of command at the office where she was able to submit a document stamped with a DOG PAWPRINT and see that those responsible and for not investigating any further fraud are sacked and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Apparently her crime was not in submitting a false voter ID but in exposing the culture of corruption in the office. There is a code of silence. This corruption needs to be investigated to see just how aware they are of false voters on the rolls. What did they know and when did they know it.
