Can't wait for thursday night to see Barry become the annointed one in front of 80,000 screaming kool aid drinkers. Could be the biggest toga party in history, when the Kos kids bow before "Barry CAESAR Obama" and chant "yes we can". Too bad he cancelled the BOSS, I would have loved watching him play "BORN TO RUN" for his hero.

This guy is so tone deaf, he and his advisors have really gone off the deep end. I wonder how they will get him out of debating McCain, for when he does, McCain will bring the Messiah crashing back to earth.

Must be a crypto-muslim need to be recognized as the Caliph.

Every one worshipped Caesar as Divinus. I guess that's what Obama expects from the American people. Kneel down one and all before your new god! Christian theology would paint him as the personification of the Anti-Christ!

It will be very tough to surpass Hillary’s inspirational quotes last night, especially:

“If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going. If they’re shouting after you, keep going. Don’t ever stop, keep going.”

But Obama seems to be trying hard, with the painted plywood temple. A phony temple for an empty suit, but the wildly cheering crowds won’t care.

I don’t know about Springsteen and Bon Jovi though. I mean, two (cracker) rockers from NJ in the 80s?

The whole thing sounds absolutely surreal.

More like a Greek tragedy. Now that Springsteen has canceled, they should get Styx to play, because that’s where Obama’s campaign is going.

Don’t you mean the vestal virgins?
I don’t suppose they got too many of those when the casting call went out.

The Obamessiah’s people are trying to say that it is supposed to be the portico at the White House. Portico my @$$. But the silliness doesn’t stop there. There is a part that rises out of the floor. (snicker, snicker) Wonder if they are planning on having Obie rise from below in a cloud of smoke to the blaring of some (in)appropriate music. (snicker, snicker)

They’re MISSING IT! He should be raised up out of the floor. That would a better Hollywood effect.

Politicians in years past have typically spoken from the convention site itself, but the Obama campaign liked the idea of having their man speak to a larger, stadium-sized crowd not far from where the Democratic National Convention is being held, at Pepsi Center - a pro basketball and hockey arena.

We can't ask The One to accept his anointing in front of a mere 3 or 4 thousand, can we? Obama ought to scare the crap out of every red blooded American because he acts more like he believes in his divinity than any sane person I have ever heard of.

Obama is a Post Turtle -

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our President.

The old rancher said, ‘Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘post turtle’. Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.

The old rancher said, ‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. ‘You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb a$$ put him up there.’

It is stuff like this that reminds me of why I am going to vote for McCain this fall, McCain’s bad, Obama is just plan looney, the Man Child loose in the land of promise.

I would be no one has the balls to tell Obama that this is simply over the top.

I think it’s outrageous and unfair that people are making fun of Obama having a messianic complex. I mean, he’s no different than any other average red-blooded American.

He eats his arugula one leaf at a time just like the rest of us do.

Talk about doofus, Hillary became the Queen Doofus last night when she quoted Harriet Tubman. Who did Hillary think Miss Tubman was warning against? Who does she think was out tracking runaway slaves with torches and dogs? Funny, how Her Doofieness didn’t mention which direction the runaways were going.

I took Harriet’s advice a few years ago and ran 180 degrees from the Democrats. Aided by my newly restored moral compass (thanks to Dennis Prager, Larry Elder, et al) and a profound love of country, I fled towards the light. The hordes still pursue until they are met in battle. Then with torches dimmed, they usually sulk back into the shadows.

I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe she was evoking the image of a lynch mob, very subtlely raising the race factor (again) to remind the audience of his unelectibility and setting herself up for 2012, while at the same time appearing to be firmly supportive.

Sort of like when she "praised" the Biden selection as bringing energy into the campaign. Talk about damnation by faint praise. I just can't believe that Hillary doesn't want to sabotage him, but it can't be obvious. I'll bet the Klintoons will vote for McCain.

Not dumb... SINISTER, all we need now is the burning torch light parades along with book burning bonfires and shouts of "zeek Obama" "all hail Barak the messiah!.

What a maroon, I am SO looking forward to the McCain ads that will be generated when lord most merciful Obama makes his grandiose appearance in front of his temple. I guess the only question left to ask is this: "Will he set up a throne, declare himself "god" and demand universal worship at that time or does he plan to do this after he fails to win the election? Inquiring minds want to know.

Okay, here’s what has to happen:

Republicans set up a bunch of viewing parties where they wear the requisite garb and do the chant.

Start a buzz about the toga viewing parties.

Get many clips on YouTube from all over the country.

On the off chance that Obama wins (looking less and less likely) he'd spend his entire four years fending off Hillary-- and everything else.

Doris Kearns Goodwin (leftist) wrote an amazing book about Lincoln called 'Team of Rivals'. It details Lincoln's predicament: he was the last choice of his party, surrounded by ambitious, craven men. He did the only thing he could have done-- he made them his cabinet. By the end of his term they were almost to a man his staunchest allies. Read it, and amaze yourself at how small this barack obama really is.

I don't get it, does the Obamanation campaign have a tin ear? Clearly McCain has some traction on the “Obama rock star” issue. They are very successfully painting him as an arrogant empty-suit Hollywood elitist. Yet they do this?

Why does this type of hype gain him any votes?
