“I’m sorry but according to the IRS churches are not supposed to take political stances. They’d better be careful or they could lose their tax exemptions.”

It’s called paying the price for doing the right thing. Too bad more people aren’t willing to do that these days.

“They’re not going to build the firewall here.”

But that is exactly what is happening.

We have ‘countenanced’ too much and are discovering why there were limits in other days. We are discovering that evil never sleeps and ‘little’ things matter.

Yes, I get the sarcasm.

Regardless of what the Mitt Bashers say, it was the judges that instituted “gay marriage” in the Gay State.

But let it be said, I don’t know what possessed Mitt to run for governor in Massachusetts. When you lie down with dogs, you get fleas.

The Mitt Bashers are really bashing Mitt’s fleas. Mitt didn’t want the fleas, but he had to take them in order to run a successful campaign in Massa-Taxa-Sodom-chusetts.

We'll see in just a couple of months, but I don't think so. This isn't the American heartland we're talking about here. Arizona actually rejected the gay marriage ban the last go-round, and my prediction is they'll do it again, by a larger margin this time around.

Your firewall is around the center of the country, the blue states on the edges are going to have homosexual marriage, and the red states in the center are not going to have it, and about the best you can hope for is that by the time the SCOTUS gets to the issue of FF&C, they will look at that reality, and judge that the minority cannot impose it's will on the majority. But don't bet on it.

In Virginia, a bill was proposed to make no-fault divorce legal only when no children are involved. If children are involved, both parties must agree to the divorce. I believe that this legislation, if enacted, would undo some of the damage inflicted by divorce.

As your other replies on the subject of gay marrige imply there is a rot of the culture which extends, as well, to the Vows. The damage of divorce starts with the easy acceptance of divorce.

There are two sides and they can’t live with one another.

We will not be instantly transported back to a healthy culture. It can be argued that we have easy acceptance of divorce because the law encourages it. I’m not sure if the acceptance or the law started first, but if we scale back the ease with which people can divorce, then fewer people will do so. This, in turn, will encourage people to take marriage more seriously.

Our cultural rot did not appear instantly; it advanced in stages. The same will be true for a healthier culture, if we are to regain it.
