The VP will be Pawlenty. He is a proven “cap and trade” carbon credits guy. ... I can’t tell if Meg Whitman is a cap and trader, but probably she is, because she’s on the short list.

Cap-and-trade and Amnesty = qualification #1 in the selection process.

Be prepared to be disappointed no matter who he selects.

Meg Whitman would be an isnpired choice. It would destroy Obama’s change message.

What is the biggest voter frustration? That politicans continue to act like politicians no matter what they promise. That’s why both parties in congress have such low ratings. The promise change, but keep doing the same old things.

Obama’s entire campaign is based on one word: “change”. McCain can point out that Obama hasn’t changed anything since he has been in the senate, and Biden is a lifetime politician that is part of the problem.

Love him or hate him, nobody can deny McCain has stuck his neck out and stood alone (often against his own party) simply because he thought he was doing the right thing.

Has Obama done that even once?

A McCain/Whitman ticket would become the Maverick/Outsider ticket. Their campaign slogan would be: “If you want someone that PROMISES change, then vote Obama, but if you want REAL change vote McCain/Whitman.”

Whitman is pro-choice. That loses a large segment of the base.
