When William Bolthouse, a California philanthropist, donated $100,000 in March to support a proposition to ban gay marriage in California, calls and emails poured in -- not to Mr. Bolthouse, but to the corporate offices of a company that bears his name -- even though he sold it three years earlier.
"It wasn't us, it's not our fault," says Jeffrey Dunn, now the chief executive of Bolthouse Farms, whose juice bottles are sold at upscale markets such as Whole Foods.
Bolthouse Farms is the latest target in what has become an increasingly bitter political fight in California. As gay-rights activists attempt to defeat the upcoming ballot initiative, called Proposition 8, they are going after not just individuals, but also companies to which they are connected, however tenuously.

Clarify what you mean by ‘awesome’.
By ‘awesome’ I mean, ‘not awesome’. Haha
I guess I should have put a sarcasm tag. I live out in this state. It seems to me that the object of these people is to scare businesses into not supporting causes they feel are right. It also seems stupid that they publish the business even when it’s just an individual who happens to be affliated with that business somehow.
Sounds like a blacklist. I thought the Socialists denounced such tactics.
Yep, intimidation and boycotting are ok with them if it serves their purposes.
However these same gay activists oppose efforts such as the actions directed against Ford for Ford’s support of the gay agenda.
Bottom line is what ever helps their agenda, they are in favor of. But they oppose the exact same actions if done by someone opposed to their agenda.
"Corporate compliance" requires "diversity training" (political re-education) as you are bent to the mandates of this powerful but non-majority influence.
Whether it is the issues of same sex marriage, abortion, global warming scare/green policies... the PC agenda is marching in lockstep.
And such actions affect the bottom line of a company as they waste resources on things that do not improve the profitability or charter of the company.
I believe this is why the Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannitys of the so-called free-speech right-wing talk radio don’t say anything about the abuses of the homo lobby. They are scared.
Just because a person can have a type
of perverted abnormal sex, has nothing
to do with marriage.
They can only corrupt the meanings of
marry and marriage.
Once they win the right to “marry”, there is no more marriage, per se.
Once you allow them, you have “no compelling state reason” to deny anyone the benefits of marriage. One could argue that two hetero singles are entitled to all the things homos claim they are denied: joint tax returns, visits and info at hospitals, inheritance, everything.
Yes they COULD get married, but why should they have to...why should they be denied these bennies? How can you not use the exact arguments to allow polygamy? Or bestiality? Especially when you legislate that animals have rights...How can you deny anyone who declares any commited relationship the benefits of marriage.
You can’t: you adjudicated and legislated your way into this little corner.
Face it: its all about the money. Has nothing to do with love or commitment.
That being said, there is no reason for marriage at all.
So away it goes! Has to. There is no reason for it to be maintained as an institution.
All thanks to the tireless efforts of these fecal nubs.
The idea of the institution of marriage came about for procreation reasons... having family and heirs (bastardism). Since homos can’t procreate, there is no rational reason for marriage.
I’ve noticed a lot of “first steps” can be traced the the “great” FDR.
Possibly a poor choice of words.
Ha, prepositions. It made sense in my head. Well just for claification: I live in California.
nail on the head
“Face it: its all about the money. Has nothing to do with love or commitment.”
Agree with you there. Also, add it’s about rebellion against the creator and tearing down all that is sacred and holy.
