Caylee Anthony Murder Evidence? Padilla: Casey Anthony 'Not All There'
www.postchronicle.com ^ | 08/28/2008 | by Jack Ryan

Posted on 08/28/2008 12:44:52 PM PDT by Red Badger

Just days after Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla bailed Casey Anthony out of jail, preliminary forensic reports have revealed there was a decomposing body in the car Casey was using.

Authorities have revealed that forensic tests prove there was a decomposing body in the car Casey was using - and Casey might be headed back to jail on murder charges.

Meanwhile, Padilla has revealed that Casey is 'in her own world' and 'believes' everything she says - but she is not cooperating at all.

He is considering revoking her bail after Casey demonstrated that she is 'not all there'.

They may actually get away with it, seeing that Casey has had this sociopathic behavior all her adult life. There is plenty of evidence to at least attempt and insanity defense. The State mental hospital at Chattahoochie is not far from here in the panhandle. My brother was there in the early 70’s. He was diagnosed as a sociopath in late 60’s early 70’s......

...or is putting on a pretty good act.

I suspect that a good portion of it is real as far as her sociopathic tendencies are. I recognize the symptoms, since I grew up with one in the same room......

Insanity plea? Both sides will get “experts.” One will say she is sane, but a sociopath. The other will say that she is insane and was not responsible for the crime.

In our super lotto system of justice, she may get away from it by acting detached.

I vote for the she killed her child, probably negligent homicide either by a rage beating or locking the poor lamb in the trunk as punishment ... or while she was out partying.

I think that she wins. She probably killed the child and doesn’t ever want the body discovered since it will reveal a beating or suffocation. And by doing the silence treatment and acting “other worldly,” she will try for the insanity plea and .... be cured!!!!!!!!

Impossible. Legally insane means the person was not able to to know the difference between right and wrong.
Sociopaths are not insane, they are manipulative.
Any attempt to lie or cover up a crime is proof the person was aware what they did was wrong and against the law, therefore not legally insane.

With all due respect to you ... a statement from a whacked-out media whore bounty hunter is not exactly the kind of opinion that the courts will look to when they decide whether or not to allow an insanity defense. Furthermore, the opinions of the whacked-out media whore bounty hunter have already been proven blissfully wrong. He assured us that Casey would divulge Caylee's location just as soon as she was sprung. Pfffft.

True, but as you point out, sociopaths are very manipulative. She is going to do the “other planet” defense and try to convince the experts that she, in fact, doesn’t know right from wrong.

Hanging out in bars partying will be used as evidence of not knowing right from wrong. She probably does know the difference (almost everyone does), but is a sociopath. Can she convince the experts and the jury?

I LOL’ed when he said that after a hot shower and some nail polish, she’d be gushing information.

I can’t believe he was that dumb, but promoting TV shows aside, he seemed to really think that he could get her to talk.

It was a sheriff’s deputy, 24 years old. The investigators found his e-mail address and IM’s on her computer. He was fired for lying to the investigators about his relationship with her. He was just a guy in line to her..........

To quote a comedienne whose name I can't recall:

“Covering up a crime isn't insanity. Insanity is breaking into someone’s house and doing their ironing”

Ummm, don't want to pry or judge, but I presume he is currently someplace where he can do no harm to himself or others.

Going to set a really bad legal precedent if being a slutty skank automatically qualifies you for an insanity plea anytime a female commits a crime.

Unfortunately, no. They had to let him go once he turned 18. He has been in numerous scrapes with the law, been in state prison for assault with a knife and basically supported himself as a gigolo for the last 30 years. He’s charming, witty, and fun to be with until he gets angry or upset over some perceived slight. I haven’t seen him in 10 years and have only spoken by phone once in the last 5 years. I do not want him around me or my family under any circumstances..............

I go between believing that he really thought that the witch would talk to him after he got her out AND thinking that this guy got a great deal on hours of television exposure for a measly $50k. He reminds me of Kinky Friedman, who is all about promoting Kinky Friedman. If he actually has Casey's bond withdrawn/revoked, that doesn't make my choice between my two opinions any easier. He will once again get hours of coverage which is nothing but business for him.
