Posted on 08/28/2008 5:22:12 PM PDT by Fred
I'm confident enough to put this up now, but willing to be wrong.
Right now though, every sign, signal, and background chatter indicates John McCain will pick Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota's governor, as his running mate.
UPDATE: A source close to the campaign now confirms for me that it "more likely than not" is Pawlenty. He does, however, caution me that the campaign does not actually want to leak tonight lest the Obama camp get too much of a chance to play the victim card with a sympathetic media.
Below the fold, I've compiled data on Pawlenty that you might find useful. Protecting the Unborn

Strong supporter of school choice.
Do we really need a 2nd global warming koolaid drinker on the ticket. Yikes.
Seems like a reasonable choice that will not hurt McCain. I’ll give a fuller reply once the choice is revealed by McCain.
One can only hope its Palin.
False flag, diversion, smoke and mirrors........distraction !!
just my opinion ......:o)
Stay safe Fred !
You have sources?
Hannity announced on his radio show today that Pawlenty has several speaking engagements lined up the next several days that for some unexplained reason had to be abruptly cancelled.
Could be a good clue!
The only issue with Pawlenty is that he may have a problem with some Catholics since he left the RCC. But I’m Catholic and in my opinion he’s more Catholic than the posers Biden and Pelosi et.al.
But which one? - There may even be two that hope for Palein.
Catholics are FAR MORE interested in a candidate’s position on life than they are with his religious affiliation. Pro-life Catholics DID NOT vote for Kerry in 2004 and Obama, Biden and Pelosi are driving even more away from the ‘Rats.
You DO know that’s a photoshop job, right?
Them freshly caught walleyes make durned good eatin’.
I actually love her for her mind...the rest is just a bonus.
