It struck me, as Obama finished his personal audacity, that there was a mess to clean up. As the fireworks died down, there was a visible thick layered cordite plume which settled as visible as a heavy ground fog. There was a huge electric bill just for the lights, not to mention the amplifiers for Brooks and Dunn and Ms.One-Ply Crow. I wonder if she cleans underneath her fingernails. But I digress. Now comes the solar powered jets to wisk 85,000 people back to their mundane democrat lives. All of that cheese, and its subsequent obstipation, will, no doubt, cause water shortages. Will Algore walk home or perhaps run, in the tradition of Forrest Gump? Stupid-is as stupid-does.
I am grateful that this democrat obscenity is mercifully over.
Brooks & Dunn played for the dimwits?
No Brooks and Dunn did not play for thiem, but their song, “Only In America” was plumbed in and turned up to 10 and the knob knocked off the amplifier.
Brooks and Dunn? Tell me it ain’t so! America is finished.
Yep, I wonder what the carbon footprint of the event was? They were all set up to do the whole convention at Pepsi Center, and then Barack comes along and decides he needs a Roman/Greek or whatever temple backdrop in a stadium???
did Barack and his people think through the carbon footprint created by their wasteful thinking? Why not use the arena that was already set up for the convention?
Whew! That’s a relief. Hopefully, Ronnie and Kix will follow Jackson Browne’s lead and sue Obama for $75,000 tomorrow.
"Convention goers cheered efforts to go green - until saving the environment became inconvenient.
An army of volunteers has had to rummage through the garbage after delegates failed to separate and properly deposit trash into bins labeled "landfill," "compost" and recyclables."
i despise hypocrites.
That is a derivitive of an old Eskimo word that mothers use to calm their babies.
How do you feel? Better?
That’s better.
Typical limousine libs—Do as I say, not as I do; end justifies the means because he is the Chosen One
Glad I could help.
LOL! That’s stuff is hard on an old Brooks and Dunn fan’s ticker.
Go get you some Delbert McClinton. One of the older guys. He is from Tarrant county, Texas (Fort Worth). He taught Lennon to play the harmonica...no kidding. Check out “B-Movie Boxcar Blues” and “When Rita Leaves, Ritas Gone”. Take a look also at “Lonestar Blues”. Lord that is good music.
Agreed, that was the only “shout at the t.v.” moment I had watching this charade.
It’s not like 98 per cent of the music industry can’t serenade Barry. Did they have to pick B & D, for gosh sakes? lol
No doubt about it, Delbert rocks!!
All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
Especially the ones with the Malibu Mansions and the G550's that want to tell everyone else how to live their lives...
Awww crap, this is what I saw, too. Brooks and Dunn are great artists...I don’t want to put them on my “no buy” list, too.......
Jackson Brown is suing Obama?!?
PS. Did I hear correctly tonite King Oblahme wants more oil, nuclear and coal plants? Did he not get the memo from Queen Nancy? PUMA reigns supreme.
Exactly what I thought. Only I would have added some of these: ???!!
Damn Berdie, you are the first one on FR besides me who seems to know Delbert. Good to hear from you.
Lobbyists will pick up the tab.
We paid for it. Conventions are paid for by that little check-off box on tax forms (”Do you want $$ to go to ...”). Thats what one of the CNN reports said the other night. I’ve even heard, if they don’t get enough from the check off boxes to give to candidates that accept Federal funding, they take the shortfall out of the general fund. So, I guess, the folks that check the box pay twice.
i despise hypocrites.
I remember the same thing at Gathering of Eagles on the Mall in Washington DC. Our area was neat as a pin- no nothing adrift, at all. Theirs featured appalling shoals of trash everywhere.
It definitely showed where the grown-ups stood on the political divide.
Ah, no. He’s not quite the only one. I well remember Delbert McClinton. Absolutely loved the guy’s music.
I love all music. Even try to keep up with the new artists of all genres, but most don't seem to have the staying power to be recognizable after a year or so.
Have a great weekend!
