I would like her as VP.
Sure would throw the MSM and dems for a major loop!
Man, the rumers are flying tonight! Well, one of them might be right.
“Supposedly” according to whom?
Palin would be as close to a slam-dunk pick as one could make. Conservatives love her, female Clinton voters would love her, the American people would love her...
The appeal in picking her over Mitt Romney is beyond words.
Go ahead McCain...PULL THE TRIGGER ON HER!!!
I think i twould be a great pick and a gamechanger.
Good detective work. I didn’t know you could track a charter flight.
From what I’ve heard, I could live with her.
If Gov. Palin is willing to get in the mud with
the establishment, go for it.
I have a sneaking suspicion that she could win
a stare-down with ol’Joe.
If Pawlenty is going to be at the Minnesota State Fair tomorrow, it cannot be him!
Verrrrry eenteresting.
Apparently all you need is the planes “N” number.
Pretty hard to pick a 2-year small state governor with only local experience before that, when campaigning against Obama’s inexperience — and while McCain has said over and over that he wants someone first of all, who can step in if anything were to happen to him.
how did you find this?
That same plane, as posted by another freeper, was in Arizona on Aug 27, the day McCain was there meeting with advisers about a VP.
You've got that right. I suspect they will for a couple of reasons. The first is that McCain holds a grudge, and Romney took a few swipes at him in the primaries. The second is that his campaign has been doing things much smarter than I am used to from the GOP during elections, and this *is* such a smart pick that I find it hard to believe they won't do it.
IMO, this is the only chance McCain has of winning. She would be a near perfect VP pick. Outside the box thinking and if he wins would be making history to boot. ;)
Ya know... this kinda feels right.
Everythings tougher up in Alaska.
You are up kinda late trying to guess what Santa’s gong to bring tomorrow. Why don’t you try sneaking down and looking under the tree?
small state? Alaska is the largest state in the country. 591,004 square miles
Flight Aware Six hour flight from Anchorage.
Or a great decoy. Notice how close we are to announcement time and IT’S STILL A SECRET!!!
FINALLY a reason to be excited for the McCain ticket, other than being anti-Obama.
*fingers crossed*
Every time Obama or Biden or Matthews or Olberman attack her for inexperience, McCain just has to say "You're right--someone who's inexperienced shouldn't be president. Tell that to Senator Obama."
And then he can say her time as VP will be on-the-job training, something we can afford in a VP, not in a president.
Her positives far, far outweigh her negatives.
Hmmmmm, Palin v Clinton in 2012.....verrrry interesting.
Wyomings pretty big, too, but it has just seven people and a meth lab.
SO what about the ethics investigation? Did that wash out to nothing?
It would be especially cool if she’s the pick from an all boy lineup orchestrated for this little event. Talk about pi$$ing on the demo convention! That’s a lot of flashbang for an intro.
“...female Clinton voters would love her...”
I don’t think so. She is on the wrong side on abortion for them and nothing will make that up. Also, I think she is on the wrong side in the looks department for them (ie Rush’s maxim that NOW exists because those women can’t get dates).
I like her, but I think she defeats McCain’s greatest weapon - pointing out Obama’s inexperience. Let her and/or Jindal get four more years experience in their Governors’ mansions and then who knows.
It is going to be Romney I think. Outside shot at Cantor.
A great decoy? Are you kidding?
Nobody in the media is even mentioning her, OR this flight.
Tbis is as good as tracking plane for college football coaching searches. She would throw the MSM for a loop for sure.
McCain.....
Do it!!!!!
she is a real answer to prayer
IMO It’s very likely the McCain campaign is going to be against Obama and the issues after his spending spree speech and put the inexperience line on the backburner.
The beauty of this is, the one weakness Palin has, inexperience, Obama also carries so he can’t attack her for that.
Palin would appeal to women and also be a wonderful VP debate play vs angry Joe Biden.
It could be one of those too. It would be a pretty elaborate fake-out as I’d assume it’s anything but a quick flight and probably cost a good bit.
Alaska has oil and right next to Putinland.
Awesome pic! LOL!
The media isn’t mentioning John McCain. Who’s kidding who?
Right they call her inexperienced and that won’t at all reflect on Obama? </sarcasm> I just don’t see this as an issue.
That’s what I’m thinkin’. This would have the dems on their heels and get the base riled up—in a good way.
I’m likin’ it.
The Palin choice puts the dems in checkmate.
If she is chosen they will have played it perfectly.
I just glanced at the Dem convention and he talked about using He would develop natural gas, and He would develop clean coal technologies.
I don’t think Alaska has much (any?) coal, but Gov. Palin sure is trying to get a natural gas pipeline built down to the Lower 48.
Of course if she tries to get the pipeline built it will be because she is in the pockets of BIG OIL (well - you know what I mean). But if He does it, it will be a wonderful “unleashing” (As Bubba Clinton termed it) of a clean abundant fuel that will save us from ourselves.
lesbian feminists won’t go for her, obviously.
But what about the mom trying to make ends meet? They also went for hillary and they can relate to Palin.
She is not going to get any Hillary voters and Team McCain shouldn’t play her off like that. Let her be her own person that people can buy into and don’t make her try to appeal out towards.
It's not that the Obamanation would criticize her for being inexperienced. It's that McCain has staked a great deal by asking, "But, is he prepared to lead?"
Riiight. The media is not speculating on his veep pick?
Yes they are, and Palin’s name hasn’t been mentioned outside a few websites.
So again...McCain is not exactly using her as a decoy.
McCain is having some fun with us over this. I like it. Bring a few of ‘em in and will the real VP stand up. Love it. Takes some strong supporters to pull that off though. Looks as though McCain has it.
