My first thought was another Senate run.
I guarantee that this is somebody elses “endeavor” and Fred is simply on board to give it gravitas. Our friend Fred won't do any heavy lifting.
When I got this email I immediately had myself unsubscribed from his mailing list.
I'm tired of Fred and his teasing bullhockey.
Whatever Fred’s “effort” is, you can bet it will be worthwhile.

Well non conservative, and I can only assume you are not conservative from your remarks,most conservatives on FR are on board with McCain right now because of the Palin pick for VP, it was nice to have a real conservative picked, so I don't think any of them, or not many at any rate, will crab to much if Hunter endorses McCain. If he does I bet he is really endorsing Palin. Go McCain/Palin! Oh, BTW, I am a real conservative and am happy now to vote for McCain since he picked a conservative such as Palin!

Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to “close ranks” behind the presumed nominee.
“This is no longer about past preferences or differences. It is about what is best for our country and for me that means that Republican should close ranks behind John McCain,” Thompson said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.

A major new EFFORT ... I think he will establish some kind of organization, the way Newt established "American Solutions" with some specific purpose.
After Fred's performance in the primaries, I don't think you can call anything he does "running."

I got the same e-mail. Maybe he is going to challenge McCain to a no-holds barred wrestling death match for the nomination. By the way, I wonder when the calls for “Trophy VP” will sound just like the “Trophy Wife” ones for Fred.

Maybe McCain should draft Fred as Secretary of State. I would like to see a hard nose, tough, Secretary of Defense who want the military to kick ass. Not a punk like is SecDef now.
I heard he was going back to Law and Order as a cop.
