In her speech in Dayton today, Gov. Sarah Palin announced that she and her husband are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, which means they were married on August 29, 1988.
On April 20, 1989 – less than eight months after they eloped – their first son, Track, was born.
I think I can guess the real reason why they eloped, and it wasn’t to save money on an expensive wedding.

Colmes and other liberals will go low and dirty on Palin even more than McCain or any other conservative because she is the biggest threat to their ideology. She’s the conservative that’s cool.
Nonsense. It shows that they cared enough to do the right thing if that's what happened. It's not as if many first babies come a little earlier than nine months.
Sara Palin makes many of liberal mores uncomfortable by showing them the alternative route to children out of wedlock and uncontrolled sex. Now, there's nothing wrong with sex, and the Palins think so, with five children! However, playing around with sexual ‘freedom’ can backfire spectacularly, as members of my family have learned to their dismay.
She serves as a reproach to the ‘anything goes’ crowd.
I'll be gentle with Mr. Colmes, but I'm going to challenge your thesis. The problem with it is that up until very recently mainstream books and movies have focused only on heterosexuality, a topic I'm sure he has no interest in whatsoever.
What I can't figure out is how Hannity can sit by that ugly SOB five days a week and listen to his gibberish and lies without strangling him. They must be paying him a fortune. I couldn't do it for any money.

Exactly right. No one in the media seems to be interested in finding out anything about Obama’s background. And just like the film of 911 the film of Wright just is too upsetting to be shown again.

lol, exactly. But the reason the hypocrisy doesn't bother the Democrats is because they are not truthful about why they PUSH sex (schools, movies, ad nauseum). Their hypocrisy is irrelevant to them. What they despise is morality; and they use a BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY to try to rhubarb those who DO uphold Morality.
The more delicious irony is their whole "preferential affirmative action" "women breaking through the glass ceiling" CRAPOLA.
Here's Sarah Palin exemplifying this, and the Dems are outraged and furious. Their blindness is on full display. They got a blow to the kidneys and now like one huge Beast, are braying aloud, and visciously.
It was never about sex, to the "progressives"; it was about creating as much chaos and harm as possible in order to produce a SAVIOR from their party to "save" the "people" from the madness of what was going on in their lives.
Glass Ceiling? Piffle. That was merely a "tactic" to hedge their overriding goals. Sex? Dittos.
In preferential Affirmative action terms -- Obama is a one-fer: black. Male doesn't count. The matter whether or not he may have had a homosexual liaison or several gives him a 1/2 point, giving a possible score of 1-1/2. Were I to add in that Obama is a former smoker, he might get another 1/2 point. So for sake of clarity; I'll give him the half point, given that this is such an important issue (not smoking to liberals). Oh wait, he may have also been born in Kenya (the ethnicity thing); so he might have a 1/2 point there; but until this is verifiable; it can't be used.
Sarah Palin is a 1 point on the scale; and so is Hillary Clinton.
Overall Scoring: Obama-1/Biden-0 (no points for being a long-term DC insider, plus he's white and male).
McCain-1 (vets get preferences in some arenas)/Palin-1 (female).
No wonder the rise in the pollings for McCain/Palin -- just on a pure "quota" pinwheel scaling apparatus. Wait! Palin, technically, gets an additional point for having a Down's Syndrome Child. But then, McCain gets an extra point for adopting a child of a different ethnicity; AND another POINT for having been tortured as a POW.
Okay, final tally (vis a vis the Preferential Affirmative Action Score System):
Obama/Biden - 1-1/2 pts
McCain/Palin - 5 pts
I read about this teenage girl named Mary that got pregnant before she was married, too. Her boyfriend Joseph married her anyway and the baby wasn’t even his!
