Sarah Palin Bio SOLD OUT on Amazon, Barnes & Noble (How's Pelosi's doing?)
Hillary Forum ^

Posted on 08/31/2008 3:52:37 PM PDT by quesney

#1 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Leaders & Notable People > Political

#2 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Specific Groups > Women

From forum:

Amazon has sold all copies that they had.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...im/cagnlace00/

So, at the moment, there are only third-party offers. Sellers of course can ask for any price that they think someone will pay.

And because the book is sold out, it dropped in the charts from the Top 10.

Barnes & Noble has listed the book here

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Sar...?cds2Pid=17351

and it is out of stock there, too (and currently #8 on the bestseller list). They say it will be available September 9.

My impression is that the publisher is about to re-print the book and make it available again (and sell a bunch of copies...)

If you are interested in the book, that BN page offers the first chapter for read.

I agree, quesney...but I always come to FR first to find out what's going on.
Don't know what web sites you've been on but one of my favorites is TexasDarlin. The PUMA’s are really PO’d and they are backing McCain.

I wouldn’t trust that everything said there are from PUMAS. I bet alot of us are there pretending to be Hillary supporters. Don’t think there is a need to do that since they aren’t hostile to us. It’s just hard to guage how many PUMAS are out there.

Thanks for reporting. Howard Dean forced Obama on them and quashed any opposition. Temporarily. He may regret it, big time.

Note: The slogan was originally posted to FR by Renfield. Islander7 created the graphic. I've merely taken the initiative in publicizing it. It's so good, it may well be the "Sore/Loserman" of the 2008 election.

Folks, will all due respect to Jim Robinson and the FreeRepublic, the Hillary forums are some of the most interesting political forums to be in right now. These people are furious with Obama and the Dem leadership.

It is quite interesting, it's like a trip into an alternate universe.

They keep slamming the democrats and their actions, yet worship hillary as we would a true conservative.

There's even a post there now calling for visiting republicans to "not boo" hillary.

I don't think the majority of them understand the depth of ideological differences between conservatism and socialism and why we can never tolerate hillary to any degree.

We don't care if someone is male, female, black, white or whatever. It's the conservative values that we share.

They seems to be fixated on sex. That's just sad.

Yet if that's what it takes for them to turn on the socialist Obama, then they are welcome to join us in support of McCain/Palin.

However they need to clearly understand: No compromises. Socialists are not just the opponent, they are the enemy. Hillary included.

Nancy Pelosi's book was at bottom of Amazon sales despite fawning MSM coverage and extensive pre sales publicity. In contrast, Palin's book just SOLD OUT! Conservative books sell in this country, liberal books don't.

I don’t think its helpfull for us to antagonize them. All they want from us is a little respect and I think we should do our best to give it too them. Obviously we won’t agree with them on many things but we both oppose Barack Obama and there is no reason to campaign against Hillary at the moment since she is out of the race. Also, my impression was that even more than the gender issue what motivated them was the way that the Barack Obama partisans had been downright nasty and antidemocratic towards them.

I've been looking at hillaryclintonforum.net for the past couple of days, and most people there seem pretty reasonable and down to earth.

The rabid Leftwingers seem to have gone to Obama, and the moderate Democrats (and keep in mind there are MANY moderate democrats) seem to be aghast at how the Dem party has been taken over by the Extreme Left. They despise Obama and the extreme Leftist ideals that he stands for

I know your point makes sense to an end and I respect that. Please don't consider my statements a rebuttle to your commentary, but rather a general statement.

I'd also have to say that I respect women by nature, and do not have to be compelled to do so.

I can reach out to point on some issues, but there are limits. Hillary is well beyond them.

To be perfectly honest, John McCain strained those limits to the point of breaking. Governor Sarah Palin is an effort to bring me back into the fold. I'm there, for the right reasons.

However when it comes to crossing the line and getting cuddly with Lady Stalin I'm going to have to start reloading my "verbal" magazine.

I will not entertain the concept of accepting hillary as anything other than the threat to our freedoms and liberty than she posed before.

I do find it interesting that others can so easily forgo their initial political pursuasions and cross party lines to vote for someone with whom the only particular issue they have in common is their sex.

I welcome their support, however we need to be clear on the basis of that support. If they are simply happy a woman will be elected to high office, then they won't be disappointed. If they are looking for Stalinist reform, we are going to have problems... ; )
