Fantastic!! Is there someway to start a Baby Shower Header that we can keep up on the banner of Freerepublic? I think we should do the Baby Freepathon where we can click and create a registry so we don’t duplicate gifts. How would we do it?

I guess we could start a thread and have every one post what they bought, but I'm thinking we should get the Boss's OK first.

No! Don’t send ‘stuff’. Speaking as a person who, fifty something years ago got three alarm clocks, two irons and so many towel sets that I opened the last one after the birth of my fourth child, ‘sutff’ is baaad. Gift cards are the best. Count me in on the shower(s) :-D

Sorry about that, my bad, I’m just so teed off at the MSM and Obama’s nazi, holier than thou, brainwashed followers. My wife and I want to send Bristol a baby shower gift and an engagement present. God Bless her, her husband to be (Levi), their child, the future grandparents on both sides and the Palin family in general. On a side note, Sarah will probably be the hottest looking grandmother in the country.

“Maybe one of these days the campaigns will actually get around to discussing Issues. “

Seems like they are all avoiding that.

One more quick point, if Bristol had not been openly wearing that engagement ring then I would have been a little upset. But, as we both have said, it’s there for the whole world to see.

Yes, they didn’t entirely hide anything, but just from a strategic point of view, it might have been wise in the initial bios to mention that Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter is engaged to marry _______. Sure, at that point, the young man’s privacy would have been over, but it’s going to be over anyway. Sure, the KosBats would have dug into it and quickly figured out they probably only got engaged recently and would ask pointedly, “why so young” and the news would be out. But it would have come out with an emphasis on an engaged couple who didn’t wait. It still would have been nasty, but not quite as bad.

In the end, it doesn’t matter too much, but it might have been better to go that route.

I suppose one could say that they did “announce” the daughter’s engagement at the initial Friday introduction of Sarah Palin by quietly letting photos be taken of the ring on her finger—sort of halfway between hiding the engagement and placing it front and center.

Please, please don’t start a baby shower. Don’t overreact—don’t try to make this out to be “just normal.” That’s going to fuel the Left to charge us with hypocrisy.

Look, that the girl is pregnant is not good. She did wrong. She’s living with the consequences. To try to pretend that it’s just all hunky dory and normal and wholesome is to overreact.

You really aren’t helping Bristol Palin or her family.

Please use some common sense.

This is kind of brilliant actually. They let the mainstream media start to report the Kos-kiddie rumors, then put out the truth, leaving the media, Kos-kiddies, etc. all holding a flaming bag of crap.

I have to admit, I was jolted out of my chair when I read this news. Read it over twice, and came to terms with it. I’ve been telling people that I believe Sarah Palin has never met a challenge she didn’t like. And, hopefully, she’ll embrace this upcoming challenge. I know she’ll embrace being a grandmother, but will she enjoy facing the colossal sh!@storm she’s about to face from the Democrat Machine? There’s no question, she will face the challenge of her professional life here. But, if there’s anyone who can come out of it relatively unscathed, it’s Sarah Palin. She’s a fighter. She’ll NEED to be a fighter.

What I’d like to know is: Why didn’t Todd Palin show the baby’s father the family gun collection? I’m a guy, and let me tell you, that would have been intimidating enough to keep me from making any moves on the girl.

To quote Sarah, “Who is to say what is normal and what is perfect?”

I understand your concern, we don’t need to make a big thing about it. This is the Freerepubulic after all.

Sent an email to Rush Limbaugh. The left has been particularly vicious with the Palin family the last few days. Why don't you immediately propose to the nation "Bristol's Baby Shower," as an antidote?

"Dan's Bake Sale" had 80,000 people in attendance and made Jay Leno's show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rush_Limbaugh_Show#Dan.27s_Bake_Sale).

"Bristol's Baby Shower" would be a great event to provide probably millions to charity, say to Special Olympics. What do you think? [signed]

Maybe he was out working, out working in Alaska can mean 4 months away from home.

That is plenty of time for a new relationship to bloom.

I am sure he did show him the gun collection once he found out.

It is a translation, from French to English, nothing wrong with it. That is the literal translation.

Non!

Bristol Palin, la fille de Sarah Palin, est enceinte de cinq mois.

Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sara Palin, is five months pregnant.

What happened to “hands off” the candidates children?

I guess that doesn’t apply to Republican candidates children.

No, that is how it is said in French. English we say things backwards.

That translation is wrong.

“She’s living with the consequences.”

Babies are consequences? That’s just one step away from Obama territory.
