TYLER, Texas - Hurricane Gustav didn't barrel ashore as the devastating terror everyone feared, leaving some of the 2 million people who evacuated second-guessing their decision to flee.

Better safe than sorry? Definitely, evacuees said. But better home than stranded elsewhere, too.

It’s Bush’s fault that the hurricane wasn’t as devastating as it could have been.

You can be sure that the media will distort this against Bush/Republicans any way possible! Good grief! Are these people locked in this place? Are they not allowed to leave of their own free will?

If they got to shelters by gubmint busses, they wont be leavin until the gubmnt busses start rolling them home. So I guess for many, the answer is “no”

No return until they have electricity, working plumbing and streets clear for the police to resume patrols..

I live in Illinois and it’s cloudy this morning, I believe it’s from the hurricane pushing it’s way northward. Reckon I could get me some of that FEMA money?
