Obama

Posted on 09/02/2008 8:46:54 AM PDT by golfwally

If Mr. Obama were to apply for a job with the FBI, CIA, or a company manufacturing a top secret product for the U.S. Government, because of his past associations, activities and friends, he would not be able to get a TOP SECRET security clearance.

Of course not.

The Marxist Party (used to be known as the Democratic Party) holds all U.S. agencies in contempt. Obama is about all the things that the U.S. stands for.

He is a Chicago street thug with a reparations mentality.

That subject came up when he was running for president. The answer is No. I used to work for the US Govt. for the Passport Agcy. Before I could work there, I had to go through a pretty extensive security clearance. Bill Clinton would not have been able to go to work for the Passport Agcy because he could not have passed their sec. clearance.

No, I very much doubt he would.

It really doesn't matter.

The Constitution doesn't say that the President must have a security clearance. If enough people vote for him/her, a convicted murderer could be President.

The founders (mistakenly?) presumed that an informed populace would never elect someone who was unqualified, or even a threat to the country.

We went through all this before with the Clintons. I know it seems ridiculous to me as well, but if the voters in their infinite wisdom choose to elect this clown, whether the FBI would give him a security clearance or not is irrelevant.

Not necessarily. Here are the 13 adjucative guidelines for determining whether someone is elegible for a security clearance: (With explanations of each).

(1) GUIDELINE A: Allegiance to the United States;
This is simple enough. A candidate must simply state that he owes his allegiance to the US and no other country.

(2) GUIDELINE B: Foreign Influence;
Has family members in a foreign country who may be susceptible to coercion or pressure. Owns businesses or other wealth in a foreign country that can be used for coercion or pressure. NOTE: Depends on the country as well.

(3) GUIDELINE C: Foreign Preference;
Has a foreign passport. Simply has to give up foreign passport.

(4) GUIDELINE D: Sexual Behavior;
Engages in sexual behaviors that may subject candidate to blackmail or coercion.

(5) GUIDELINE E: Personal Conduct;
Again, may or may not be an illegal activity, simply one that opens the door for blackmail.

(6) GUIDELINE F: Financial Considerations;
Has a history of being 90/180 days late on payments. Needs to show that he/she has gotten back on top of the situation.

(7) GUIDELINE G: Alcohol Consumption;
DUIs, mainly.

(8) GUIDELINE H: Drug Involvement;
Current drug use bad. Past drug use OK (use of LSD and other hallucinagencics in the past is reviewed case by case)

(9) GUIDELINE I: Psychological Conditions;
Crazy?

(10) GUIDELINE J: Criminal Conduct;
More than 1 year in prison. Felonies. History of criminal offenses even if minor (shows pattern of challenge to authority)

(11) GUIDELINE K: Handling Protected Information;
Leaving the safe unlocked, or a classified document lying about where a non-clearance holder could see it.

(12) GUIDELINE L: Outside Activities;
Working for a foreign gov’t.

(13) GUIDELINE M: Use of Information Technology Systems
Misusing gov’t issue computers (downloading porn, not being secure, etc.)

The list comes from:

http://www.fas.org/sgp/isoo/guidelines.html

(which I’m too lazy to format this morning. Just copy and paste.)

So, unfortunately, O’s associations would not disqualify him for a security clearance.

Exactly. The alternative would be to give the FBI the power to veto any presidential candidate. Think about that for a second.

And yet the Left supports deep background checks into those who want to exercise their constitutional right to own a firearm and does not believe that non-violent felons should ever be permitted to own a gun. They ARE for permitting felons to vote.

A convicted murderer could become president.

A traitor to the nation cannot.

I don't think NObama could even get unescorted entrance into a privately owned Nuclear Power Sttion.

All of his associations during his early years and after entering general society are of questionable loyalty to the US of A:

His mother was described by college acquaintances as "a fellow traveler", a euphynism for "fledgling communist".
His father was associated, and a member of a dictator government in his home country.
His step-father was associated, and a member of a dictator government in his home country.
His mentor, met in Hawaii, is a known memer of the CPUSA.
He announced his entry into political life from the home of William Aryes, a admitted terrorist and college subversive, but NObamma consistently denies Ayres as onlt "a passing acquaintance, someone who also happens to live in the same neighborhood".
He stupidly fell in with Renzko, in his Illinois legislature days for fund raising, and then they used each other in NObama's purchase of his Hyde Park digs and some adjoining land while setting Renzko up with a large payday courtesy of the taxpayers.
NObama has decided that his campaign for the presidency is equal, possibly even more relevant, to Governor Palin's executive experience.

NObama a statesman? Yeah, right. America will decide, if the DemoncRATs try and slip one by the goalie in November. We have to continuously only speak truth to DemoncRAT lies. Remember these talking points if you get into a political discussion. Sway the undecided with truth.

The recent story about Joe Biden’s draft deferments made me wonder: did Obama ever register with Selective Service? He would’ve been about 19 when it came back.

That is another thing that would prohibit him from getting government employment.

Would Bill Clinton?

No, and a large portion of his White House staff never even applied for their required clearances because of their bad backgrounds. This was reported by Gary Aldrich in his book Unlimited Access.

The Clinton Administration just ignored the system and it's internal FBI office and let many of them handle classified anyway.

That is very true.

I was found "guilty" of "disturbing the peace" for ministering to young women walking in to a baby killing facility.

About one year later I was in line to get my Secret clearance with an EBI (Enhanced Background Investigation). The government sent an agent to meet with me on just that one issue.

P.S. - I did receive the clearance
