Should we accept Obama as a legitimate President if he squeaks out a win?
me | 9/3/08 | ACSUC99

Posted on 09/03/2008 12:44:58 AM PDT by acsuc99

The left during Bush's first term questions his legitimacy and declared him not THEIR President.

Well, look at the media coverage so far this election. Obama has been treated to the most adoring biased media coverage in the history of Presidential elections. No tough questions, adoring magazine covers, 5 to 1 coverage. And combine that with the VICIOUS attacks on Palin and her family the last week and the hysterical innuendo hit and run drive by coverage of the entire campaign in favor of Obama and this MUST be atleast worth 10-15 points right there if not more. All the reporters are carefully prepared with Obama talking points.

Sarah Palin's daughter has been vetted more this election cycle than John Edwards or Barack Obama. They snear at her and use her. A 17 year old. Makes me sick.

So say Obama squeaks out a 2-3 point win this November. Say he squeaks out an electoral college win. Why should we accept him as legitimate as the media will have been directly responsible for giving him the extra bump he needed to win? He will not be my President thats for sure.

Yes. If it happens, he will be President, and we will beat him in four years.

Never ever call him President Obama. The Left never calls President Bush President Bush - they call him George Bush.

Call him Barry or Mr. Hussein - or if you’re having a good day, maybe Mr. Obama.

No. I won’t accept him as my President. Just as I didn’t accept Carter. He will be Mr Hussein Soetoro. Nothing else. Regardless of whether he will win legitimately. He doesn’t represent what America is about and certainly doesn’t represent me.

if obama wins it will be because people are stupid enough to follow the media.

The smart money and companies will leave this country if that happens...also...looks like conservatives are doing well in Canada...

If he wins, he wins. I’m not going to deny reality. However, it’ll be painful. It’ll be like the Carter and Clinton years, only worse. It’ll be miserable to watch Obama take a wrecking ball to what’s left of this country.

Given that the welfarists, government employees, students etc depend on taxpayers to support them we should just refuse.

Seriously. Just flat out refuse to spend our tax dollars on them.

Obama's certainly not what our forefathers intended...in fact, he's what they warned could happen..."An increase in population will of necessity increase the proportion of those who will labour under all the hardships of life, and secretly sigh for a more equal distribution of its blessings.

These may in time outnumber those who are placed above the feeling of indigence, According to the equal laws of suffrage, the power will slide into the hands of the former."

As soon, then, as the poor could outvote the rich, they would make plans for a more equal distribution of wealth.

This was about the Senate as a check against the House.

How about "Bambi", if you want to emphasize his readiness for the world stage?

But if you want to be formal, it's "Comrade Obama", because he's in charge now, and you are just a prole!

At some point we the people must figure out an effective way to change the MSM. If we had a MSM with an ounce of journalistic integrity, Democrats would be lucky to hold 20% of elected offices. The MSM are our biggest mortal enemy, having essentially stolen our society while we sat around in a gradually heating pot of water, only to find ourselves now at a painful boil.

I was thinking the same thing. If Obama is elected that means the majority want a welfare state. So I will apply for every possible benefit and program I can. We all should and crash their grand Utopia in two years time. And have a nice vacation while we're doing it.

Should UGH-bummer win, he will be the president and I shall call him that. However, I would feel that the country will be the loser and very likely would suffer in the throes of another great depression...I say this because he is expressing some of the same reasons that led to the depression of the 1930s. Repeal of NAFTA and CAFTA would essentially be the same as the enacting of Smoot-Hawley Act, a tariff aimed at protecting American jobs. Also, he is an isolationist much like Hoover. There are many here who would welcome such an abysmal failure of Obama that I’ve described as it would certainly restore the GOP to power for decades to come...but the price would also be paid by suffering American families. In short, I dread an Obama victory.

Should Obama win, I will accord him the respect due his office. As a patriotic American, it is my duty to loyally support the President of the United States to the extent my conscience allows, even if I personally oppose his politics and policies.

I have no respect for Obamanation. He is a liar, cheat, has terrorist associations, he wears his titles without doing anything once promoted or elected. He can’t even give McCain the respect of running against him. He is running against Governor Palin. If he wins I will call him the same thing that I call him now an Obamanation.

Accept Obama as president?

It depends.....how many illegal aliens voted? How many dead people “voted”? How many convicted felons voted? How many voting machines were tampered with in Philadelphia? How many liberals registered in two or more precincts and voted two or more times? How many tires were slashed on Republican vehicles on election day? How many.....

The term is "Law Abiding" not "Law Obeying" to be Law Abiding one must accept the law until one can legally change it. If a person legally wins the office of president, he is legally president. One must accept that if one is to be law abiding.

We've seen what the other side looks like. They are democrats with Bush Derangement Syndrome and I will not willingly emulate them.
