They’ve reset it numerous times, hoping to get the results they want. This morning, they’d wiped off the prior results again. It only had about 20,000 votes and 89% were on Palin’s side.

Its a pretty pathetic contrast in their coverage, isn’t it? Not that I expect anything better from a celebrity tabloid, mind you, especially one owned by a diehard Obama supporter.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would say that McCain has “baited a trap” for the liberal media, and they took the bait.
Revealed today that US Magazine publisher is a huge B.O. supporter (and I don’t mean body odor). He has donated generously to B.O.’s campaign.
you know...it’s probably not just because of us (conservative ‘blog’ sites). regular viewers of the Us site voted.
Actually, the poll allowed multiple votes, so we got a little carpal tunnel last night Freeping it :) About 100K seem to have come in since then though. Most Republicans won’t read a tabloid like US Weekly.

Let US Magazine advertisers know how you feel. Hit US where it lives. And starve it out of existence.
The Drive-By Media COMPLETELY overplayed their hand with this Palin BS. And you can tell by their relative quiet today that they damn well know they did.
Using a kid to get to her mother is not only reprehensible, it is psychotic. They revealed their agenda in a manner guaranteed to offend real Americans in both parties.
My guess is they are hearing it loud and clear from their stockholders, too.

I made a post at some thread here week which stated that, while I STILL dislike J. Sidney intensely, I am developing a grudging respect for his abilities as a campaigner.

Well, I’m office-bound, but have the radio going, and yesterday’s radio news was all about the “scandal.” Today? Nada.
Why would you bother writing to those people? The magazine is owned by Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone and he will laugh at your letter.
Just boycott the magazine.

I talked to individuals at all of our local Downs Syndrome chapters and offices as well as the one for the state in Austin, gave them the info re the magazine and asked if they would issue a statement. Don’t know if we will ever know whether they do or not but they certainly all listened and appeared to have taken down info.
Do we know the 5 largest advertisers for the benefit of those of us who don’t buy any magazines - including this trash?

I voted atleast 100 times in that poll.
I have AFN News which does two-hour rotations between Fox, MSNBC abd CNN throughout the day. When I got "home" from work, I flicked on the news and it was (barf!) MSNBC's shift. That evil Andrea Mitchell was interviewing a variety of people and none of them mentioned Bristol's pregnancy. They've gone back to the "We don't know much about her... what we do know is negative...she doesn't seem to have much experience... she's really not a reformer....she was in favor of the Bridge to Nowhere..." and on and on and on.
So, they're still going very negative on her, but they seem to have backed off of the pregnancy for the time being.
Now, AFN is showing Fox, but it's Shep Smith, so not much improvement. ;-)
