Imagine it's a few days before the Dem convention. In a big—BIG—surprise, Barack Obama names Rhode Island congressman Patrick Kennedy his vice-presidential running mate. You're a partisan Republican. Do you?:
* a. demand that Obama drop Kennedy from the ticket; or * b. sit back and enjoy the, uh, ride.
I'm guessing the great majority of red-blooded Republicans would answer 'b.' Why wouldn't you want a weak link on the opposing ticket? So what kind of scare has Sarah Palin has put into the MSM that various of its members, like Jack Cafferty, are floating the notion that McCain should consider dropping Palin? I subscribe to the view of the Palin candidacy that Peggy Noonan wrote about today. The headline sums it up well: A Clear and Present Danger To the American Left.

If McCain DOESN’T drop Governor Palin, where else will they go when they vote in November? MSM is stuck with McCain/Palin unless they want to vote for that goofy Kenyan, muslim guy.
I’ve heard so many liberals complain that McCain should drop Governor Palin from the ticket. For his own good, of course. It just sounds to me like a rattlesnake suggesting those tall boots are making you ankles too uncomfortable.

The totally-in-the-tank for Obama Us Magazine, ran a poll today asking whether Palin should step down. According to a poster at Free Republic, the mag [owned by big Obama donor Jann Wenner] took the poll down after the results were overwhelmingly against Palin’s withdrawal.
Also, as far as subscribing to Peggy Noonan’s view, the author is half a step behind due to an Open Microphone capture of Noonan showing her true colors.
Basically, the MSM is jumping the shark. Let them. Middle America will see through it.

I was thrilled when my choices for the Democrat and Republican Vice President races both came in first. I picked Palin because she can do far more to help McCain win then any other candidate.
And I picked Biden for the same reason. Obama-Clinton was a definite worry. Obama-Biden is a dream come true. Years of experience at being wrong. How could we do better? Yes Biden, will maximize the likelihood of a McCain win. From our perspective - Biden's a real "winner".

The MSM is focused on DNA testing over the pregnancy of 2 women where it proves to be mathematically impossible for their contention. A word to the wise - there are a lot of eyes on FR right now, many of them extremely hostile, and they are quite as interested in taking FR down as they are in taking Sarah Palin down, and for the same reason.
