The fact that they got the Edwards story right (plus they had photos) doesn’t mean they have this one right. If I recall correctly from other threads, this is being promulgated by a Palin “enemy.” It wouldn’t surprise me if her ex brother-in-law was behind it - using his proximity to the family as proof of his credibility.

Yes Sir. Why hasn’t the Enquirer printed Mr. Sinclair’s incredible charge? He has made his charge publicly and he has done it without the cloak of an un-named enemy.
If it's not true, then McCain should take legal action simply for the P.R. standpoint of appearing to fight for his choice, because it will be tough to prove in court that the Enquirer did this maliciously knowing up front that it was false, which is the standard that a public figure has to meet to win a libel case. Even if they can't meet that standard, though, him fighting for his wronged running mate will be a great move politically (and morally too).
