Sally Quinn Attack Column: Bristol Palin, McCain VP Nominee Sarah Palin
National Ledger ^ | Sep 2, 2008 | Jessica Warren

Posted on 09/03/2008 5:29:49 PM PDT by Red Steel

Sally Quinn is a Washington DC insider. She is so proud of that fact that she puts it at the top of her bio right on the top of her Newsweek and Washington Post column published this week. In what reads like an attack, Quinn speculates about the pregnancy of Bristol Palin, the 17-year old daughter of Sarah Palin. She's the up and coming GOP star that will get the nod for vice president this week in Minnesota from John McCain and the Republicans.

Quinn seems a bit upset that McCain picked a woman to run with him on the Republican ticket that isn't a Washington, DC insider and she says she is shocked and angry. She then attacks the pregnancy, the mom and the daughter and tries to convince her readers that what she calls "family values" voters will now abandon McCain because seventeen year old Bristol is pregnant.

***

Maybe it is time for DC insider Sally Quinn to pack up a designer bag and take a trip out of the Beltway and perhaps listen to what Evangelicals and her "value voters' actually believe. Her hateful column is dripping with anger, so the first part of her rant, "My first reaction was shock. Then anger," is believable.

The diatribe has received around 1,000 comments, many telling the self described "insider" that she is out of touch. The column is here. Maureen Dowd (a New York insider) was stunned, yes stunned, that someone could be a veep nominee that hasn't appeared on the NBC "insider" program, "Meet the Press." Sally and Maureen will need some serious luck if they try to sell that outside New York City or Washington, DC when everyone is screaming for 'change.'

I just heard Sally Quinn on the Factor. She's outright lying that Palin should not run for the VP because she has too many children. This is from a feminist? Quinn is being disingenuous about her beliefs. In other words, she's full of S---*.

The last time I will ever read one sentence from a Sally Quinn or Maureen Dowd. Secondly, I will not subscribe to any paper that carries their columns.

I made this pledge regarding Jane Fonda that I’ve kept..

If you want to talk about values, how about the whole Kennedy Klan, Al Gore’s druggy son, Obama not caring about his own brother, Clinton not keeping it in his pants etc.

This is from a feminist?

She's not a feminist. She's a Liberal.

You know damn good and well if Palin was a RAT and Obama picked her to be Veep, Susan Quinn legs would be all tingly.

I saw her too, disingenuous, bitter, artificial...

...contrast her with Rep. Michele Bachmann, Republican from Minnesota.....lovely, articulate, genuine...who followed after.

Sally Quinn is a hag. I saw her on O’Reilly too and thought she was pathetic.

The Dems hate to lose elections - especially this one which will decide the fate of the nation for many years to come with a permanent majority of Marxists on the Supreme Court.

Sally Quinn reminds me of a dowager in a 3 Stooges short that acts all offended for the first 10 minutes and then ends up with multiple pies in her face.

She also said that McCain should have announced her a few months ago so that the media would have had a chance to vet her.

They’re just pissed that she was announced at the last minute.

I’d like to say what I think about Miss Quinn, but this is a family forum.

::::::::::
Both BO and Quinn should be thrown over the side of the conservative ship. First, any part of Palin’s private life, is NONE OF THEIR F-ING BUSINESS, either of them. BO is pandering to the left, he zings Palin every chance he can get, and runs interference for Obama any chance he gets. He sucks and I am done with his liberal ego. So, his pandering, and the backroom deals with Fox management have gotten Obama onto the Factor show.

BO will handle him as his own child. This whole situation makes me sick. IMHO, Fox is making a big mistake PANDERING to Obama -— BO thinks it is going to boost his resume, I say it is going to hurt it, especially his slamming of Palin whom he cannot keep his mouth shut about, just like the liberal MSM ——

yah, but she earned her position the old fashioned way - by boinking her boss...

“Quinn is married to Benjamin C. Bradlee, the former editor of the Washington Post, her former boss.”

LOL. Thanks for the reminder. I assume Sally Quinn was typing with a straight face when she lamented Sarah Palin's lack of family commitment.

I'm sure the first Mrs. Benjamin Bradlee had a good laugh at that one, too.

On the Factor, Sally Quinn was blinking so much when she said it’s not a liberal or conservative issue she looked exactly like the liar she is.

How many times did Benjamin Bradlee's concubine say, "It's not a Liberal/Conservative thing..."?

Riiiiiight. I guess she thinks everyone is as senile as her husband.
