There is, however, one area where we might have seen real change. The Democrats could have not nominated another lawyer. This may partly explain why former military officer John McCain and working-mom Sarah Palin are polling near even with Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden, in a year that otherwise favors the Democrats.

KEYWORDS: lawyers
In fact, every Democratic presidential nominee for president and vice president in the last seven elections -- except Gore who dropped out of law school to run for Congress -- has been a lawyer.

Want Real Change? Quit Nominating Lawyers,
So true.
I would love to see a Constitutional Amendment prohibiting anyone registered as a lawyer from holding any public office above the rank of dog catcher.

I agree. Americans are tired of being run by Lawyers. What have San Fran Nan and the other Lawyers in Congress gotten us? Higher gas prices, hog-tied military operations, choking energy policies, social malaise, and their own lowest ratings ever.
We're tired of listening to their legal hairsplitting over every little issue that comes up. Regular Americans really just don't like them. The elitists love them because they allow them to duck the consequences of their typically aberrant behaviors, but we only turn to them in the direst of circumstances, and don't trust a one of them. Not even the ones we have to hire.

(Trial Lawyer Lobbiest and Edward's bag-man, Fred) "Baron has joked about the prominence he and other trial lawyers have in the Democratic Party. In a July 2002 speech, he noted a Wall Street Journal editorial that said that "the plaintiffs bar is all but running the Senate." Baron pointed to the editorial and said, "Now I really, strongly disagree with that. Particularly the 'all but.'"
For all the nasty "corporate influences" seen in congress, legislators aways seem to pass bills that benefit their own primary profession.

Note: The slogan was originally posted to FR by Renfield. Islander7 created the graphic. I've merely taken the initiative in publicizing it. It's so good, it may well be the "Sore/Loserman" of the 2008 election. If you want change in Washington D.C.
I mean you really want change.
Do you vote for the Fighter Pilot and the mother of 5?
Or do you vote for the two Lawyers?
