WASHINGTON Smog, soot and other particles like the kind often seen hanging over Beijing add to global warming and may raise summer temperatures in the American heartland by three degrees in about 50 years, says a new federal science report released Thursday.

Atmospheric soot does not raise temperatures, but does the opposite.

WAIT A MINUTE!! In the Seventies we were told that pollution (particulate matter) was causing global cooling by blocking the sun. It was one of the reasons for putting catalytic converters in cars.

Pardon the interruption, but the sun just went without a sunspot for the entire month of August. That has not happened in 100 years. A recent article (rejected by “Science”) stated that we are on the verge of a significant solar “minimum.” The issue is not climate warming but global cooling.

The thing is, I agree with the environmentalists that the pollution in the developing countries, especially China, is not good for the world we live in. Unfortunately, the environmentalist do not care at all about pollution in China. They only care about destroying America.
or give China the olympics on the provision that they have them every year.
