Kurt Russell isn’t too bad either! :-)
LOL. “You tell ‘em I’m comin. AND SARAH’S COMIN WITH ME!”
cool!
Is there somewhere I can get a live feed on the Net? (my husband is watching ‘Dirty Harry’.
Thanks.

I hate to say it but Obama is right. They need with the audience talk about how they are going to help hurting America . Drilling . Jobs
I just hope McCain can beat this performance:

I have no reason to believe that he will. :-)
I’ll ping for later as I’d rather watch McCain himself than an excerpt.
I think I know where John McCain got his pattern for his speeches...Cindy McCain, if he comes out with surupy sing song delivery, I’m turning off my set and going to bed.
Sarah Palin is the life ring for McCain’s quest for the presidency and he better come out sounding at least as strong as she does.
“Jonah Goldberg is a hoot!”
yes, I like him a lot, too, and glad his media career is growing - he’s on FNC frequently and Glenn Beck a lot, including tonight. I first saw him speak on cspan 2 about his book, Liberal Fascism, which was great. Pretty astute and witty guy.
Too bad for dial-up users that FR has become a repository for videos that substitute for written accounts.
LOL!
You can’t really get it via a description. It has to be seen.
breaking headline from yahoo
RNC: Cindy McCain gushes about husband
did they use that word with michelle speaking about her husband?
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da ...
NO!
:-)
Good. Because listening to it on the radio, as I have been doing for 37 minutes, is like listening to cars rust.
I mean the video...
seriously.

i think of the sonny and cher song
(referring to the dem talking points)
“the beat goes on,,,,,,dadadada, the beat goes on”
McCain is terrible on many levels, but he’s better than Obama. He talks about how he wants small government but then brings up plans to retrain people who lose jobs and find alternative energy. How, pray tell, is that the government’s job?
The federal government is NOT about working for YOU. It’s about staying the #(%^ out of the way except for the very limited functions defined by the US Constitution. McCain, although he means well, is just another big government politician, another compassionate conservative.
If it weren’t for Governor Palin, I’d be sitting this out. Does anyone seriously believe McCain is going to slash government with a Democrat congress? Oh, they’ll give him his pet programs to add new government, but he’ll make no meaningful dent in business as usual. I could be wrong. I seriously HOPE I’m wrong, but we’ve heard this RINO crap many, many times before.
:-)
I was trying to do the Jeopardy theme. LOL.
I hope it came across that way, but I highly doubt it. LOL.
I know what you mean. It’s going to be tough, and we’ve heard it before, that’s for sure. I posted the same comment as you earlier this evening that it will will be tough to change the usual.
BUT...regarding listening to McCain's speech: Finally, he roused the audience (me included), that finale was a real barn-burner!
Anyone serious about conservatism should have cringed during several parts of McCain’s speech. Mind you, I’m going to vote, because I like Governor Palin, but McCain hasn’t changed one bit.
He’s going to push for new programs out of compassion for people, and there’s a strong probability the Democrat congress will work with him. That includes amnesty for all those poor downtrodden illegals (he didn’t say it, but you KNOW that’s what he was talking about). Again, the Democrats will be happy to expand government for McCain. Then, when McCain decides to fight to cut something, the Democrats will shut him down.
Still, what else can we do? We have no choice here (as conservatives). Third parties are a lost cause, and at least McCain didn’t pick a RINO hack for VP. It’s the best we could have hoped for.
Outside of a few areas well defined in the US Constitution, I don’t want the federal government to do anything for me. It’s just plain dangerous to give the feds so much control. That is not the way of freedom loving people! Land of the free? Home of the brave? Not so much any more.

I found myself wondering: Does anybody really care what Michael Gershon thinks?
