H/t Kimberly M.
Did the Code Pink members who interrupted John McCain's speech last night use MSNBC press badges to get into the hall? Not according to Code Pink itself, which claims the two women "obtained passes to the convention from disaffected Republicans."
Right.
There is another much more intriguing explanation out there. According to Shay at Booker Rising, which describes itself a newsite for black moderates and black conservatives [emphasis added]:
"I took the shuttle bus back to Minneapolis, and I overheard a convention organizer named Phil telling a convention delegate that the protesters on Wednesday night got through because of media credentials that were traced back to MSNBC (he told her that each credential has an individual bar code for each convention invitee). They suspect MSNBC this time as well."

The badges should be obtained from the trespassers and identified.
Had I ever tried this in my TV days, I would have been fired in about 3 seconds.
Rule #3, Report the news. Never make the news.
they are not protestors...they are OBAMA SUPPORTERS!!!
remember this in future conversations....
Detecting these agent provocateurs should be a lot easier than building a cylon detector. Before each person enters the auditorium, just hold up a picture of Pres. Bush and see if:
1. Left eye twitches (5 pts)
2. Right eye twitches (5 pts)
3. Lips curl into a snarl (10 pts)
4. Low guttural noise is heard (5 pts)
5. Barking ensues (15 pts)
6. Eyes glow yellow (20 pts)
7. Froth appears around mouth (15 pts)
Now add up the points. A score of 10 and over warrants a further search.
bttt
Either that or one of Keith Olbermann's relatives who was just recently release from the sanitarium.

Forget fired. Whoever did this oughta be up on charges. And if screwing around with the press credentials at this kind of event isn't illegal, it darn well ought to be.
I was listening to the convention coverage on Sirius, and they said that the protestors came from the media area.

The abuse of press credentials by MSNBC to allow entry to the Republican National Convention to protesters determined to disrupt the proceedings is a gross violation of the privilege afforded to the network in being allowed to attend and report from the Convention itself. While Republicans are all too familiar with the press using partisan tactics against Republicans, often acting as the public relation wing of the Democrat party, this particular action goes beyond the pale. As such, the RNC has made the following policy decisions with respect to MSNBC:
- No Republican officer holder, officer seeker, or official will grant interviews, make statements to, or in any way interact with MSNBC for a period of one year.
- Affiliated networks NBC and CNBC will need to affirm in writing that interviews and appearances for those networks that would be denied under the previous points to MSNBC shall not be broadcast in any form on MSNBC; without these assurances, they will not be granted access to Republican officer holders, office seekers, or officials.
- MSNBC will be denied access to the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Hopefully, their competitors (CNN, FN) pick up on this story and choose to run with it.
MSNBC should be removed from the White House Press Corps.
The only thing that surprises me is that Keith Olbermann wasn’t wearing a Pink Dress on the floor.
During his speech the camera kept going off McCain and to some idiot with a “McCain hates vets sign” ( something along those lines).
I doubt anyone else ever saw that because he was hidden way off in a far corner next to the wall.
They knew it was coming because they broke away to show that area many times too far in advance.
Collusion in the media.
This morning he was dissing CNN for cutting to the protesters while McCain was speaking
I was watching it on MSNBC during that time and they too cut away to give the protesters face time on their biased News station, an arm of the DNC like the others.
Including Fox

Uh huh, like codepink would lie.
Too funny, and sadly, too true!
If Rush exposes this, the others will have to cover it.
Fox and friends have been commenting on the bias.
The real question is which BIG NAME endorsed this so MSNBC would know where to point the cameras.
Olberman? Brokaw? Mathews? One of them is responsible.
Pinkos at MSNBC???
