Pakistan closed the Torkham border crossing in the Khyber tribal agency. The road through the Khyber Pass is NATO's primary supply line into Afghanistan.
The government claimed Taliban threats and poor security on the strategic road into Afghanistan forced the closure. The road has been shut down exclusively for NATO traffic.
"All Afghanistan-bound supplies for the International Security Assistance Force have been stopped as the [Torkham] highway is vulnerable," the Khyber Agencys political agent told Daily Times.
According to Dawn, the closure only applies to fuel trucks heading to Afghanistan. But trucks carrting supplies other than fuel have been held up at the border. "Over 20 heavily-loaded vehicles, including oil tankers, were stranded at the border town of Torkham following the governments decision," the Pakistani newspaper reported.

how does this affect our troops? My friend’s Marine son whose over there had gone, along with his whole troop, 6 days with no food as of last Saturday. Still waiting for another call and update. Got some hopeful results with a congressman friend.
Ask for Mr. Wart E. Hog.
well its not like they are all going to line up in a file to get shot up
they hang behind tv crews and freshly painted educational departments
its not like its a military war
Those things happen in war.
As much as we would like to intervene, it doesn't help the strategic situation, and might actually hurt it and the troop.
Thats why soldiers are trained to forage.
They need a jamaican soldier that can cook this:

Curry Goat
Six days with no food is highly unlikely.
Don’t be so quick to condemn. Many vets with 3 tours have experienced no resupply for several weeks depending on the situation. It isn’t unheard of, although not common.
...and in a related story, NATO forces have shut down Pakistan deeming it too dangerous to stay open.
Ever read Sun Tzu's " The Art of War?"
I highly recommend it. Its not about war either. Its about strategy.Shambhala Publications has the best translation. Pick it up and have some fun with it.
Meanwhile I will continue to rattle the enemy with grape shot, preheated to whiteness. I am addicted to secondary explosions.
When the enemy is in disarray, harry them, sow further disinformation and confusion, be like a shadow, enter the precincts of the enemy, attack and then retreat repeatedly in random fashion, making prediction impossible.
Thats our task against the fascist Obama wing of the dem party now, and I intend to see the Obamites run all the way to oblivion. No mercy. None.
Et tu Flavius!
I appreciate the sarcasm though.
Pakistans government is in direct contact with the Obama campaign. Pakistan wants him elected.
And now they want Obama to seize defeat from the jaws of victory.
We will have to go to air lift supply.
Pakistan means to have our soldiers cut off, surrounded and slaughtered. We are winning the war they did not want won.
LOLOL!! It's REALLY good when you cook it right.... like you say, slow cook it...... it beats mre's when it's cooked right..... although, there are a few mre's that I love ;-)
MREs are not bad at all when you are REALLY hungry.
They sure as hell beat collecting June bugs and frying them.
(People who truly complain about MREs have never been hungry, but everyone has their favorites.LOL) Maybe if Obama gets elected , we will have Goat MREs.Something to ponder.
a big problem there is that they’re ALL starving—even the taliban. When they pick them up after a fight, they must average around 100 lbs. each. There’s barely bugs to eat. Not even any varmints to speak of.
I would suggest contacting Duncan Hunter by telephone. He has a way of getting things taken care off.Oliover North also might be of some help. He just returned from Afghanistan.Jim Robinson has North's contact info. Jim also might be able to suggest something.
