Just heard on Fox News. The Boy Scouts filled dozens of large trash bags with US Flags that were trampled on the ground or thrown near trash receptacles at the Democrat Convention. They are going to hold a flag-retirement ceremony to properly honor those flags that were dishonored.
Not surprising that that crowd wouldn’t know the proper respect for the flag.
And to think the United Way refuses to give money to the Boy Scouts.
BUMP!
I wonder whether the ceremony will be covered live by CNN or MSNBC. Oh, that’s right, all their reporters are being kept occupied in Alaska...
I refuse to give money to the United Way.
SandRat,
Can you add this to your BSA Ping?
Was video shown? Record it before it falls down the RAT hole.
Wow. I need to buy some popcorn from them and I’ll pay for the shipping, too!
some are being recycled by republicans for the McCain event

I don’t think they’ve had the retirement ceremony yet. They are setting everything up.
I wonder if they will have trouble with open fire regulations.
I think it’s supposed to take a place in a couple of hours. I gathered that Fox at least was going to show it.
BUMP!!
No wonder the socialists, communists, lesbians, athiests, condom-throwers, abortion enthusiasts and other Democrats hate the Boy Scouts.
Boy Scouts show proper responsibility again.
It’s just a prop to them. Why wouldn’t you take it home? I know why they wouldn’t.
They’d be better off waving fake fetuses around with “My Choice” on them. That would be something they’d put on their mantle. (Real fetuses would be thrown in the trash, of course, just like the flag.)
I work for a very large international firm that used to have a matching employee donation program that amounted to tens of millions of dollars, all going exclusively through the United Way.
When the Boy Scouts controversy hit the fan, I wrote a response to the annual appeal telling them why I would not give any money to the United Way. I assume many many others did too. By the next year, the United Way was out and all employees could personally select from a list of hundreds of organizations to give money to, and the firm would match.
Now, instead of going to the Boy Scout hating United Way (which kept about 30% of donations for "overhead"), my donation goes directly to my town's volunteer ambulance corps.
The Boy Scout controversy basically killed the United Way and allowed real charities to avoid paying the charity tithe to those liberal parasites.
Yep. Why let some community organizer decide how to employ your hard-earned dollar? (and claim the credit - look what I did for you, now vote for me and mine).
Good on the Boy Scouts, a class organization. September 27th is National Scouting Day.
That;s why I always refuse to give money to United(sic) Way.
