At a campaign event at 11:00AM PST Boy Scouts will recycle 12,000 American Flags that were thrown in the trash after the democratic convention.

so much symbolism on so many levels to the callousness and “don’t get it” Democrats who say they love Country, and the environment. I wonder if the American Flags that Obama used were made in China?
I’ll be watching. I’m sure it will be quite a grand spectacle. I expect to hear maybe some “boos” on cue. Shame on those Obama cult members for trashing the flag. I guess if Barry’s picture isn’t on something, it’s not important.

Obama uses the flag for a prop....nothing more. The “ignorant rednecks” who cling to their bibles and guns must be appeased in public. He’d just assume wipe his rear with it.
The title of the actual story is “Republican Recycling” Nowhere in the title did I see “flag”. The mods stress using the actual title, and not do not want editorializing on it.

You are never, never supposed to just throw the flags in the trash. Even flags that are worn should either be burned or recycled (see below), not trashed. But to trash perfectly good US flags shows the contempt the Democrats have for our country that the US flags symbolize.

The Ceremony for Disposal of Unserviceable Flags was approved through Resolution No. 440 by the National Convention of The American Legion meeting in New York on September 20-23, 1937. At that time most American flags were made of cotton or wool. Today the vast majority of American flags are made of nylon or other petroleum-based materials.
Recycling - A Great Alternative
Recycling American flags is an acceptable alternative. Unfortunately, this respectful way of disposal has never been promoted.
Fortunately, a new nylon recycling process has been discovered that converts virtually 100% of a nylon flag back into virgin grade nylon material which can be made into another new American flag.
When it comes time to dispose of an American flag, you should have the right to select burning or recycling by marking the canvas header accordingly. American Flags Express is working with the American Legion and other organizations to make this choice possible. Nylon flags marked “RECYCLE†on the canvas header will be respectfully accumulated as are those to be burned. The resulting material will be targeted for the manufacturing of virgin nylon fabric for the exclusive use of making American flags.

The thing that would elevate this to something beyond the label of potentially cheap stunt, is that once the Obama campaign and the media commits itself to a certain explanation (most likely shame on McCain for politicizing the flag), that the guy (or guys) that found the flags come out of the woodwork to explain where the flags were found and their their condition at the time (probably tossed in a dumpster).
May not seem much now, but my gut says that this story has legs.
camp obama claims flags were ripped off. A vendor who asked to remain anonymous found them during cleanup. The flags were abandoned imo.
We respect the flag and the sanctity of life.
