Protesters Say They're Proud Of RNC Acts
Sep 7, 2008 12:20 pm US/Central
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) For two years, demonstrators had been looking toward the first four days in September -- when they'd take to the streets of St. Paul to speak out against the war in Iraq, the Bush administration and the Republican agenda.

She pointed to Thursday night, when hundreds of people stayed on the streets of St. Paul, even after police told them to leave. Nearly 400 people were arrested, including Sundin. "I think it made a very strong statement," she said.

"We think we were able to get our name out to a lot of people that might not have heard about us before," Pham said. "Our hope is to do what we can to try to catch the momentum from the last few days."

"I was in jail with people who were at their first protest that day, and they were so proud of what they had done," Sundin said. "We talked with all of them about finding a way to get involved and stay involved."

"For the anarchists, they were incredibly successful. They made their point. They got arrested. They forced the police to respond, to use force," he said.
He said in order for the peaceful protesters to be successful, they now need to translate their democracy on the street to democracy at the polls.
For now, the Anti-War Committee is now looking ahead to a potluck to talk about the convention, as well as new-member meetings and more demonstrations. They say there is a new energy, fueled by the events of this week.

So it's a matter of whose force we want to live under. I see.
He said in order for the peaceful protesters to be successful, they now need to translate their democracy on the street to democracy at the polls.
If their behavior is an example of *democracy on the street* did they just threaten us with more of the same at the polling places in Nov? I sure hope someone in authority will catch this and keep them locked up until after the elections.
Using force is peaceful? Black is white, right is wrong, good is evil....
Here’s a video of one being interviewed....dimwit...
Are we nuts? YES! Do you care what we think? NO!

Are...
Kinda, sorta wonder if we could get the coordinates, I mean, the location of this here potluck
Thank you for posting this article.
“”For the anarchists, they were incredibly successful. They made their point. They got arrested. They forced the police to respond, to use force,” he said.”
So, they broke the announced rules and known laws, got arrested, requiring the police to use force to take them to jail.
And they consider that a ‘good’ thing?
If they were “REAL” anarchists, then they would sneak into the location of the buffet early, and trash the place.
They’re p!$$!ng and moaning over at DU about living in a police state because they weren’t allowed to disrupt the convention. I feel compelled to go over there and keep an eye on those fools, but then I always feel like I went for a swim in a very full septic tank when I’m done (I can’t typically stand to stay long - the metaphor says it all).
That's because conservatives believe in the rule of law. That might seem painfully obvious, but just as obviously most leftists dismiss the rule of law. Their actions in St. Paul proved it.
(Yawn)...Uncivilized creatures who prove barn animals have better breeding and manners, than these retarded feces flinging monkeys.
This is hilarious....the anarchists’ website.
I love the headline....they raised $519.00 for legal fees. What’s that....an hour’s worth? Good luck.
Also, this is funny...go to right side of page, scroll down, look under “Local.” Read “Mugged at the RNC by a Republican Candidate for Congress.”

There’s something just wrong about “organized anarchists”.
Do you think they have a leader, and follow orders?
Yeah
I wonder if theyre smart enough to realize how stupid “organized anarchy” is.
"We have jobs." said Andy.

I just returned from a trip to DU, and while it's always risking picking up some mental disease, it's also a very interesting look into the minds of conspiratorialists. Now many of these people are firmly convinced they're living in a police state with the Bushhitler police ready and waiting to send them to some concentration camp. Obviously none of these nuts stops to consider that after close to eight years of the evil, nasty ChimpyBushHitler in the Oval Office, none of them have been carted off to the camps yet. My feeling is that many of them never get out of the basement and off the bong.
You landed on something I’ve told people around me for years, I’ve asked them how people could hold protests at 2 in the afternoon on a workday, and what kind of people were involved in them!
Ever notice how pale and undernourished these losers look?
If they were natives they'd have said they were meeting for a "hotdish"....
Cheers!
Target of opportunity...
“Anarchists” are not antigovernment. They are socialists, they are anti-WESTERN style governments.
Go to akpress.org to look at all sorts of anarchist-socialist literature.
What scares me even more is that a LOT of them don’t need dope to get that crazy.
