Showbiz Tonight ^ | Sept. 8, 2008 | Vanity

First time posting try.. so be nice. I was watching Showbiz tonught and caught this

"ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Cindy came into our hair and makeup room fresh as can be and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn`t come up with a list of topics that we weren`t allowed to touch. No, that`s because she has nothing to hide"

The coversation that followed was a complete tear down of Hasselbeck for telling secrets. She mentioned this at a luncheon for Cindy McCain. It was a revealing conversation.

(Excerpt) Read more at transcripts.cnn.com ...

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; Politics/Elections

I saw this and thought hip-hip-hooray!!!! Good for Hasselback to report this. She is doing her fair share to report what is going on behind the scenes and we need to spread this around. For her to reveal what Michelle Obama requested is wonderful. Get the word out...way to go Elizabeth!!!!

Bears repeating.

This line was interesting.

Anderson: “And you`re right, they didn`t sign up for any reality show. And they do seem to be drastically different from any typical reality show family. They seem to be grounded.”

For libs, saying a person is “grounded” is almost like an insult. Because that means you must be behaving yourself, steady, uninteresting and even puritanical.

Libs only like unstable, strange and different.

It would be one thing if Hasselbeck were informing on how Michelle looked in the dressing room without make-up, but this pertains to the show’s integrity. Would it be wrong for an intern on Meet the Press to say that, oh, I don’t know, John McCain refused to answer particular questions?

Before you say, “But everyone knows that the View is light-hearted fun,” I shall counter, “If that’s true, then what’s the hub-bub? Liz just told us what we already know.”

By the way, she’s hot.

I loved the guy that was offended because the little secrets were being exposed. Also the comment that Michelle was being treated as a celebrity, not a politician.

I just read the full transcript of that show and it only MAJORLY confirms why I don’t ever watch any of those trash shows. What shallow, self-absorbed, talentless, clueless mental midgets all of these people are!

I don’t get CNN, but the “entertainment/gossip” shows on the networks want to make me puke. So I just avoid them totally, just like both the network and local news shows. I get better information and news on FR and the net than any network or newspaper could provide.

If I want to form an opinion, I don’t need some blow dried, slobbering, tingle-legged, room temperature IQ’d idiot ‘splaining it to me.
