Obama: Terror groups have 'legitimate claims'

JERUSALEM – The Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations have "legitimate claims" that are being "weakened" by the violence the terror groups carry out, Sen. Barack Obama stated in an interview today with the New York Times.

Speaking with columnist David Brooks, Obama said the U.S. needs a foreign policy that "looks at the root causes of problems and dangers."

The presidential candidate compared Hezbollah to Hamas, stating they both need to be compelled to understand that "they're going down a blind alley with violence that weakens their legitimate claims."

For the same reason that 50% of Americans support a man who hates America. It's a sign of the times we're living in. People aren't rational anymore, everything seems inside-out, perverse. One explanation is that God is blinding people as a spiritual punishment for the massive falling away from faith in our times. It is a Biblical explanation of course, and hence will likely be dismissed as 'superstition'. But since 'science' can't explain today's suicidal irrationality, and logic and reason are confounded by it, I personally opt for the Biblical explanation.

As a man who can still apply common sense and reason in this perverse world, I look to Europe as a perfect example of the Biblical explanation of self destructive behavior. Europeans have walked away from their Christian heritage, churches are empty on Sunday, their faith is in socialism and hedonism. At the same time Mohammedans have come in the tens of millions to fill the void created by European apostacy from Jesus Christ, while the former power and glory of Western Europe has declined to near impotency. Cause and effect? I think so. Now look at America, we too are falling away from our traditional faith and values, and we too have fallen into secularism and drunk from the well of multiculturalism, feminism and 'diversity', and our former power and glory are also on the wane. It is entirely possible that in less than three months our elected leader will be a true friend of Islam and Communism, our two worst worldly enemies.

To sum up, when people have finally paid a high enough price for expressing our freedom through license, hedonism, humanism, atheism and secularism, they will return to Jesus Christ and the collective eyes will be opened again, sanity will return.

Well, that ought to peel off a good amount of the Jewish vote right there.

It doesn’t matter, has never mattered and is unlikely to matter in the future. American Jews will vote dem no matter who is running and how anti Israel they are. It boggles the mind that this is true. Carter is no friend of Israel and doesn’t hide his views regarding jews, especially Israelis yet American Jews voted for him big time when he was running for office.
