FOLLOW UP TO THIS REPORT ABOUT THE DEMOCRATS TRASHING THOUSANDS OF FLAGS
To follow up on the previous report, I spoke today with the Public Information Officer from the Denver Police Department. The PIO confirmed what I had learned when speaking with other PD personnel two days ago -- that the DemocRATic National Committee has not made a police report regarding thousands of stolen flags after their little Greek tragedy in Denver.
The DemocRATS are lying. Their claim that the flags were in storage, intended for other events, were going to be donated, and were "taken without permission" (i.e. stolen) is absolutely phony. No, they were left as trash for eight days on a loading dock next to the dumpster, and no one was coming to get them.

This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage — with dramatic effect, no doubt — and tell the story.

UPDATE I: I [David Harsanyi?] just spoke with the person at Invesco who found the flags and he thinks both sides are exaggerating a bit. The person claims the majority of the bags with flags in them were near the trash, on a dock, and would have been thrown away. The person thinks it was probably an “oversight” by the Democrats rather than any nefarious plot against the flag. But the person doesn’t believe anyone was coming to get them: “The flags were there for a week and a day and no one came looking for them.”

Comment: The photo on the right shows clearly that he placed the flag upside down and touching the floor deliberately. Check out how the stick is propped up against the chair. Not that he would have done it with the intent of disrespecting the flag, but rather that he apparently didn't care enough to give it much thought.-ETL

Yes, that's how I store things, too: in or next to a dumpster for over a week. The dems would be better off if they'd just shut up when they do something incredibly stupid.
This just shows the far left has no respect for our flag or country for that matter. I always get the image of Iwo Jima and the 1,000s of men who died to take that hill and raise our flag. Then the dems just throw them in the trash.

You know, if they had acted horrified, and said that was not supposed to happen. And if the just had asked for the flags to be returned, I bet the Republicans would have done that. Republicans aren’t thieves. But the Democrats would rather lie, or try to lie their way out of something, and blame someone else, than handle things in an up-front way. Must be some mental disconnection.

The RATS claime the flags were taken without pemission. That is theft. No police report.
This is from the rally in Colorado Springs where those flags ended up -- first thrown on the floor, than dragged to the dumpster by union employees, then 'stolen' by the Boy Scouts who cleaned and rolled them up, then taken on stage by Veterans, who passed the flags to patriots up front, who passed them on to other patriots in the rear.

When Obama lashed out at them by stating that the groups "STOLE" his flags, I was left to ponder which group was telling the lies.
Never once did I suspect it was the Americans doing the lying.
Instead, I always believed that it was Obama and the democrats who were LYING to the American people on this very issue.
This evening has been a very vindicating one.
