Savage is discussing Bush’s policy to lower the bar for minority home loans and its possible connection to the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

I've had my differences with Savage's ways but he's a talk show host with guts,

Iran gets in on the "Michael Savage" action

What other talk show host can boast that?

The nation ID'd as the number one promoter of Islamist terrorism gets in on the hate "Michael Savage" action.

While other talk show hosts offer tepid on-air remarks from time to time, for all his faults, Savage took it to 'em!

Yes, he dropped the suit after threats against his family increased. Yes, the judge threw out the copyright violation part --BUT yes the judge invited a rewrite and a resubmission of the rest of the suit. Anyone with contrary information with valid sources, please post. TIA.)

Bush oughta have a look at my neighborhood. Good people selling out and their homes are being bought up my "rent to own" mortgage companies. My next door neighbor (a minority rent-to-owner) takes wonderful care of his property, too. Grass grows long, pit bull in the backyard with garbage strewn everywhere, etc. Let's be honest. Not everyone is meant to (or should) own a house. Besides, there's plenty of rental property to be had in the country. I don't know about you, but I don't see too many homeless minorities in my part of the US.

Hello, WoC! The way I see it, if you agree with ANY radio host 100% of the time, you (not directing this comment at you personally, of course) obviously can’t think for yourself. Or, that person is simply a GOP shill. ;-D

RE: "if you agree with ANY radio host 100% of the time, you . . . obviously can’t think for yourself. Or, that person is simply a GOP shill"

Agreed. Entirely!

While acolytes of other talk show hosts post negative comments here daily -- and IMO attempt to provoke an inappropriate response hoping to get the Savage fan banned -- I thought that though I have differences with Savage, it is about time to remind ourselves of the very good and unique things that Savage has done.

BTW, I too listen to those other talk show hosts and respect and appreciate them very much -- it's their fanatical fans that puzzle me.

In the interest of total honesty, Savage himself started the row between him and the others. From the early days at his local station KSFO he was an outsider and occasionally denigrated his fellow hosts but he did not call them names as is his wont to do against competitors today. Not a good thing.

More honesty, it could be argued that at least a couple of the talk show hosts at Savage's local station complex pushed him into it (but only one did it mostly on-air). One of them is currently serving a seven-year federal prison sentence. That one.

I've loved radio since the early 1940s. IMO Savage has done as much for modern talk radio (radio after the "Fairness Doctrine") as any others -- more than them all when it comes to proving that no longer did conservatives have to kowtow and slink away trying to 'splain that they were not all those evil things that liberals were screaming at them. Conservatives could scream back louder and with overwhelming nastiness.

I am thinking of one other host who excels at this (good for him!) -- which reminds me, it sure seems lonely in here. Without the hate Savage stuff there ain't many of us here -- come to think of it, the haters bragged about that; i.e., that so many Savage fans had been banned that they were here to finish off the rest of us. :)

What are Palin’s thoughts on illegal immigration and our porous borders? We of course know McCain’s ambitions all too well, but what about his running mate? Not one mention of “migrants” or the border in any of her speeches, as far as I know.

Savage is talking about some reasons he has for not getting along -- well, I agree that among those with the egos to strive for and actually achieve he's got a point. A lot of stuff goes on at that level, I bet.

For this old hillbilly, it's simple. I've had it with THE NAME-CALLING AGAINST FELLOW CONSERVATIVES! Call the enemies anything and everything.. but the all too frequent one-sided personal feuds against conservatives.. enough already!

A level-headed, well thought-out post, WoC. Those GOFreepubbers you speak of believe that if we Savage listeners don’t post here every Monday thru Friday (with at least a dozen or more posts per thread), we’ve finally come to our senses and revile the good doctor. Well I’m still listening, to their obvious chagrin. Even though I can’t always be present, I’ll always be here in spirit. ;-D

Fannie Mae, et al.

Savage has good point. Why let the people who gave us Liars' Loans, securitization of sub prime loans, and I do not know what all get away with it? They sent the junk bond guy to prison. His was peanuts compared to this.

IMO however, the bail out of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac does not double the national debt -- 90+ percent of the trillions in mortgages is being paid month after month. The two hundred billion or so is to make up for the shenanigans of the aforementioned pukes. To the wall with 'em!

Say what you want about O’Reilly, but he’s giving Obama a pretty good grilling in a taped interview. O’Reilly asks the Obamassiah about his connections with Ayers, and he responds with “guilt by association”. O’Reilly responds by saying he doesn’t have associations with domestic terrorists (or something to that effect). Obama keeps touching O’Reilly on the knee (a tactic he obviously learned from Bill Clinton) whenever he asks the Magic Negro ™ a tough question. Towards the end of the interview, Obama says he has “friends on the right”. O’Reilly asks him to “name one”, and the Obamassiah can’t do it. He covers up the obvious gaffe with a chuckle. LOL!

Ruby Ridge

This is the kind of stuff that makes it to "the list." 'Tain't fair, McGee. But stuff happens.

A federal marshal killed the son and return fire killed a federal marshal, the FBI and ATF were not there at the time.

Years ago for months Savage blamed (others probably still do blame) the Clinton Administration. It happened when George H.W. Bush was president.

It took years of threats and abuse of patriots who wanted real hearings in Congress before we got what we got. Better than the nothing before that. One day there may even be real hearings on other stuff like the "Gorelick" Wall and such. BTW, she walked away from Fannie Mae with millions after building the Wall for BJ.

Mike is telling it like it is, not how the Bush bots want this story told.

It's too hot to handle. Two audio clips of Bush saying that white people are unfairly skewed towards home ownership, and that he wants to "level the field" by reducing the down payment and loan eligibility requirements for minorities, resulting in the meltdown of the housing market and the outright socialization of the outstanding debt of the two largest home lone franchises. And yet no heads will really roll. It's mind boggling in scope and implications, but won't make checkers' and lormand's "list". They ignore Savage when he's right on the money.

reasons for a slow thread:

Savage is off the Palin topic;

most people don’t care about Fannie-Gin, and

most anti-Savage trolls are too scared that Savage is again correct about John Maynard W. Bush.

Amen. Get this: Bush is pimping us into the bedchamber of the UN and all L. and C. can talk about is a sometimes eccentric radio talk show host - whose truth percent might be 75%, but that 75% is about 100 times larger than the average water boy.
