The style speaks to the Democrats constituency and how they campaign. Quick hits, sound bites, incomplete truths (lies), and then move onto other subjects. There is rarely anything of substance that comes from a Democrat campaigning these days.

Unfortunately, its not much better over here at FR. Thread after thread with nothing more than a trite phrase or a sentence fragment of opinion. Gone are the early days of Free Republic when substantive opinion and analysis was common. I think that many of those folks still tune in to see what’s going on, but we seldom read the wisdom of their thoughts and analysis.

Did you see the hoopla that some big piece of Mccain scandal was going to break today ? Something about prescription drugs and the Washington Post.

"I was just over on the Democratic Underground site to see what they might be saying about Sarah Paulin, and I noticed something very peculiar about the people who post there - they don't post complete thoughts."
You shouldn't say that about

I know exactly what you mean. It was to the point where I thought I wasn’t logged in properly — I kept saying “Where are all the comments?!?!” — then I realized, it was just pages of one-liners, and the same one-liners over and over again. DUmmies like the smell of their own farts, I guess.

Browsing through DUh is like walking through an adult book store. You look straight ahead, don’t touch anything and try to forget why your shoes are sticking to the floor.

It occurred to me that the DU posts are like the transcript of a street demonstration. A profanity-laced mishmash of slogans, chants, and quips; all shouted out in a chaotic cacophony. This may be the only way these people can "communicate".
To: Shenandoah
- they don't post complete thoughtsYou can't post what you don't have.
To: Shenandoah
Absolutely. Did you happen to hear Rush’s last caller? He (a Palin critic; self describer “Independent”) claimed Palin “couldn’t put two sentences together”.
Now, if you don’t give a crap about verifiable reality, there are a dozen or so (mostly scurrilous) things you could say about SP, but of all those things, the thing you cannot say if your senses give you even moderately accurate information is that she is not articulate. As Rush said “She hasn’t stuttered even a single time during her appearances!” And yet this guy made this statement.
I admire Rush greatly not just for his history; but for his uncanny ability to crystallize conservative thought so concisely; his great sense of ironic humor; and I admire his relentless politeness in listening to and generally hearing out callers no matter their position(s). In this case, he asked the caller to repeat himself so that the whole country could see what an idiot comment he was making.
To: Shenandoah
I went to DU once. I found most of the posts completly unintelligible.

“they don't post complete thoughts”
If you listened to Obama give enough off the cuff speeches, you would uhh, uhh, and, well, uhh... what was I uhh, talking about...?
To: Shenandoah
The fact that the style there (and at KOmmieland) is to put half the thought into the "title" of the post, then follow up the rest of the sentence fragment in the "body."
