But this canard has been around so long it is surprising to find someone that isn’t aware of it.
When I first heard of the FISH remark I didn’t think of McCain at all.
I immediately took it to be a vile, disgusting reference to Sarah.
I think Obama has been the media’s Teflon Golden Boy for so long that he thought the media could protect him from everything.
Up until now anyone that tried to make an honest criticism of Obama was ostracized in the press and on the tube.
He has played the race card and the sex/gender card over and over and gotten away with it.
Look how condescending he was to Hillary, yet the media protected him every step of the way.
But McCain is a fighter pilot.
Hillary is just a corrupt lawyer, with no executive experience.
Your spot on there, I have a family member that is a homosexual. FISH is a common refrain for women when not in mixed company. They will even playfully jab at some of their women friends with that moniker, if their friend isn’t too sensitive about that kind of trash talking. However, when their fighting mad, FISH is one of the kinder insults among many insulting references they will make about the physical and other aspects of female genitalia.
I’d vote for “Lipstick” over “Dipstick” anytime!

Quite a few foaming-at-the-mouth types but only about 100 or so dirty hippies(pot smoking earth firster types). Plenty of top bleacher seats left. Lots of standing room. By some reports about 2,000 small town Americans compared to McCain/Palin 25k Fairfax, Virginia rally. I encourage you to confront Senator Obama at every location, if you promise to be articulate and avoid potential backlash sympathy. I was able to get within ten feet of his speaking platform. Of course the SS and his flaks seemed to be watching me like a hawk. Several people were wearing the Bill Ayers beret uniform look. Wasn’t really “other-wordly.” Look we have lots of socialist institutions: Social Security, fanie mae, foods stamps, free ER visits, etc. they just want more. The default internal philosophy is more Equality of Condition than Equality of Opportunity. Maybe a barracuda could demonstrate why the later should be our destiny. Until then I will cling to my religion and keep praying.
I had supervisor about 16 years ago that got into deep kimchee (hounded into early retirement deep kimchee) for stating the following about a female subordinate (a co-worker of mine):
“She’s like a fish out of water.” Nothing gets you in trouble at a government gig quicker than some sexism. Or the perception of sexism. The funny thing is, the context in which he made the statement was understood by just about everybody as a comment on her job skills and capbillities. But that is not how the EEOC panel took it.

Don’t let the Dems get away with these low brow attacks. Don’t sink to their level but don’t just take it like Hillary did—see what it got her.
I really wish people would exercise restraint as you did and just let the bombamiester self destruct in front of the world.
However, the next move by McCain should be to refuse debates....then watch obama yell and scream!
The leaders in a campaign don’t neet to debate, only the losers!
Get it cemented in everyone’s mind that obama is soooo history that McCain don’t even need to debate him and he is gone!
