Today Senator Obama expressed his distress over the latest "made-up controversy". Here is a look at a couple of other controversies that popped up during this campaign.
Obama Strategist Calls McCain's Attack Ad Insulting; McCain Camp Defends It By MARK MOONEY
Aug. 1, 2008
Sen. Barack Obama's chief strategist conceded that the Democratic presidential candidate was referring to his race when he said Republicans were trying to scare voters by suggesting Obama "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."
The comment had triggered a charge Thursday from Sen. John McCain's campaign manager that Obama had "played the race card... from the bottom of the deck."
Obama's camp initially denied the remark was a reference to Obama's race.
Former President Bill Clinton was on the phone and the radio Friday discussing what he meant during Monday's speech at Dartmouth College. While talking about Sen. Barack Obama he uttered the phrase "This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I've ever seen."
The night after the speech Obama responded to the "fairy tale" comment by calling it the act of a desperate campaign. Former President Clinton promised to join Sharpton in studio but did not set a date.

"So let me get this straight, Senator Obama is too smart to call Sarah Palin a pig but not smart enough to realize how bad this comment is going to sound to anyone not basking in the glow of his halo."
"The schadenfreude is strong in this one."

My God is this guy for real? Is there NOTHING anyone can say about him that doesn’t get some sort of whinny remark? If you can’t stand the heat - stay out of the kitchen...
I'm currently watching Jake Tapper and the Charlie Gibson mitigating and applying revisionism to this "lipstick on a pig" faux pas.
Another important thing I noticed was he was reading VERBATIM from his speech on his podium at his rally this morning. He kept glancing down at it, and didn't deviate a bit. It was annoying to see him bob his head up and down as he read word for word. What an idiot!
I predict that the next poll of Ohio will have him somewhere down below 40%! From what I am hearing this is not going over very well.
He is such a muslim. This is akin to the “psychology” of calling the raped woman an adulteress. The man has no respect for the arts of people... because this is not politics, but McCain simply asking a legit “people question”.
If it were not for the Bible, never the world seen such retards demand such worship. I cannot stand muslims.

My question is this: When Obama said that you can “put lipstick on a pig,” was he trying to turn Muslims against Palin?
Actually, I think the excuses he’s now making will hurt him more than the actual comment itself. He knew and everyone knows that he knew, but now here he is playing dumb and innocent. His partisans will consider him clever (like beating a rap on a technicality), but to “horse sense America” he’s obviously lying, playing dirty, tricky, clever.
He’s accusing the Republicans for picking up on what everyone - including the liberal press - picked up on instantly. To give him the benefit of the doubt on the issue is to say that he’s completely out of it, with absolutely no ear for public opinion.
Believe it or not, he could’ve handled an apology or a half apology brilliantly. The dumbest thing to do was to play it smart!
I’d like to see a video of his full comments, including the follow-up where he praised Palin, as his followers booed. The way the follow-up was reported, it seemed as if the magical one was well aware that he was throwing a rock and then hiding his hand. All of the videos I have seen cut him off as his audience starts to hoot and holler.
“What’s the difference between Obama and an empty suit?”
“I don’t know.”
” ... I don’t know either.”
Schadenfreude. . . Karma’s evil German cousin.

Tru Dat!!
Not to mention that moose-limbs have the predisposition of lacing their insults of Christian and Jewish Infidels with names like ‘apes’ and ‘pigs.’ Just an observation.
