Olbermann: Republicans have hijacked 9/11

But 9/11 has become a brand name. A Republican campaign slogan. Propaganda of the lowest form. 9/11 has become 9/11 with a trademark logo.

9/11 (TM) has sustained a president who long ago should have been dismissed, or impeached. It has kept him and his gang of financial and constitutional crooks in office without — literally — any visible means of support.

The political party in office at the time of the attacks, at the local, state and national levels, the party which uniformly ignored the warnings and the presidential administration already through twenty percent of its first term and no longer wet behind the ears, have not only thus far escaped any blame for the malfeasance and criminal neglect that allowed the attacks to occur, but that presidency and that party, have managed to make it seem as if the other political party would be solely and irredeemably responsible for any similar catastrophe in the future.

And his childish, squealing, braying, Tourette’s-like repetition of 9/11 (TM), was greeted not as conclusive evidence that he is consumed by massive guilt - hard-earned guilt, in fact but rather as some kind of political tour-de-force, an endorsement of your Vice Presidential nominee, a rookie governor , a facile and slick con artist.

All of this, sadistically disrespecting the dead of New York, and Washington, and Shanksville.

And yet of course the exact moment in which Sen. McCain’s Republicans showed the nation exactly how far they have fallen from the Better Angels of Mr. Lincoln’s Nature, came the next night.

What we got was not a tribute to the dead of 9/11, nor even a tribute to the responders, or the singularity of purpose we all felt. The Republicans gave us sociological pornography, a virtual snuff film.

It is too easy to dismiss Olberman as just another leftist traitor (which he is), the public must see that this man truly has issues that someone in his family should force him to deal with- an “intervention”, if you will.

Bush was in office barely 8 months out of a 48 month term (16.6%), and the Democrats were still blocking his secondary appointments out of spite for winning the election (along with holding up his transistion funding during Gore's lawsuit).

Furthermore, the terrorists were here practicing since 1998 (75% into the Clinton administration), so who wasn't minding the store?

That's an old sign. Underneath 9/11 it reads “ religion.” As with religion, the Democrats abandoned major aspects of what America is. It is illogical to say someone has “hijacked” what you have abandoned.

Liberals will have their own 911 on election night when they see the Magic Negro's bus with smoke pouring from the windows and supporters jumping from the windows to their death. There will be memorials. There will be the reading of the names of the DBM elite whose whole world came crashing down right in front of them. Each election night we will see the repeating footage of the smoking Magic Negro bus. Liberals will have their own 911.

• The party that doesn't want us to listen to foreign terrorists when they call the US.
• The party that doesn't want us to interrogate terrorists caught on the battlefield fighting against our troops.
• The party that says the war on terror is just a bumper sticker.
• The party that insisted that a new giant union was the best approach to improving security in our airports.
• The party that plans to eviscerate our military per their own presidential candidate's pledge.
• The party that beleives that if they hold talks with Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Kim Il Jong without preconditions that their personal magnetism will change their hearts.
• The party that thought giving nuclear technology to North Korea was a good idea because the promised not to use if for weapons.
• The party that thought if we sold missile technology to China it would never be used in weapons projects.
• The party that puts the interests of the environmental lobby ahead of our own national need for energy independence and the strategic importance of not only not being independant of sometimes hostile foreign sources for energy but also in stopping our indirect and sometimes direct funding of regimes and organizations that foster or actively participate in terrorism or other activities which undermine US interests and security.

Boy, with foreign policy, defense, and security bona fides like that why would anyone even think about voting republican in days like these?
