Barack Obama's mother,
Stanley Ann Dunham
"[Stanley Ann] Dunham moved to Hawaii to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she studied anthropology. There she met Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a graduate student from Kenya and the school's first African student, in a Russian class.[2]"

From the Chicago Tribune, March 27, 2007:
"In a recent interview, Obama called his mother 'the dominant figure in my formative years... The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics.' "

Article: Obama's women reveal his secret
Excerpt from page 1...
"Naivete" is a euphemism for Ann Dunham's motivation. Friends describe her as a "fellow traveler", that is, a communist sympathizer, from her youth, according to a March 27, 2007, Chicago Tribune report. Many Americans harbor leftist views, but not many marry into them, twice. Ann Dunham met and married the Kenyan economics student Barack Obama, Sr, at the University of Hawaii in 1960, and in 1967 married the Indonesian student Lolo Soetero. It is unclear why Soetero's student visa was revoked in 1967 - the fact but not the cause are noted in press accounts. But it is probable that the change in government in Indonesia in 1967, in which the leftist leader Sukarno was deposed, was the motivation. ..."
From page 2 of 2...
Barack Obama received at least some instruction in the Islamic faith of his father and went with him to the mosque, but the importance of this experience is vastly overstated by conservative commentators who seek to portray Obama as a Muslim of sorts. Radical anti-Americanism, rather than Islam, was the reigning faith in the Dunham household. ...
Barack Obama is a clever fellow who imbibed hatred of America with his mother's milk, but worked his way up the elite ladder of education and career. He shares the resentment of Muslims against the encroachment of American culture, although not their religion. He has the empathetic skill set of an anthropologist who lives with his subjects, learns their language, and elicits their hopes and fears while remaining at emotional distance. That is, he is the political equivalent of a sociopath. The difference is that he is practicing not on a primitive tribe but on the population of the United States.
There is nothing mysterious about Obama's methods. "A demagogue tries to sound as stupid as his audience so that they will think they are as clever as he is," wrote Karl Krauss. Americans are the world's biggest suckers, and laugh at this weakness in their popular culture. Listening to Obama speak, Sinclair Lewis' cynical tent-revivalist Elmer Gantry comes to mind, or, even better, Tyrone Power's portrayal of a carnival mentalist in the 1947 film noire Nightmare Alley. The latter is available for instant viewing at Netflix, and highly recommended as an antidote to having felt uplifted by an Obama speech. ..."

Stanley Ann Dunham's high school days...
"At Mercer High School, two teachers -- Val Foubert and Jim Wichterman -- generated regular parental thunderstorms by teaching their students to challenge societal norms and question all manner of authority. Foubert, who died recently, taught English. His texts were cutting edge: "Atlas Shrugged," "The Organization Man," "The Hidden Persuaders," "1984" and the acerbic writings of H.L. Mencken.
Wichterman taught philosophy. The hallway between the two classes was known as "anarchy alley," and students pondered the challenging notions of Wichterman's teachings, including such philosophers as Sartre and Kierkegaard. He also touched the societal third rail of the 1950s: He questioned the existence of God. And he didn't stop there.
"I had them read 'The Communist Manifesto,' and the parents went nuts," said Wichterman, adding that parents also didn't want any discussions about "anything to do with sex," religion and theology. The parental protests were known as "mothers' marches."
"The kids started questioning things that their folks thought shouldn't be questioned -- religion, politics, parental authority," said John Hunt, a classmate. "And a lot of parents didn't like that, and they tried to get them [Wichterman and Foubert] fired."
The Dunhams did not join the uproar. Madelyn and Stanley shed their Methodist and Baptist upbringing and began attending Sunday services at the East Shore Unitarian Church in nearby Bellevue.
"In the 1950s, this was sometimes known as 'the little Red church on the hill,' " said Peter Luton, the church's senior minister, referring to the effects of McCarthyism. Skepticism, the kind that Stanley embraced and passed on to his daughter, was welcomed here.
For Stanley Ann, the teachings of Foubert and Wichterman provided an intellectual stimulant and an affirmation that there indeed was an interesting life beyond high school dances, football games and all-night slumber party chatter.
Their high school class was an in-between generation. The Beat generation had passed, and the 1960s era of protest was yet to begin. Classmates of Dunham -- Wall, Blake, Hunt -- felt they were on the cusp of societal change, the distant early warning of the '60s struggles over civil rights, women's rights and war. "If you were concerned about something going wrong in the world, Stanley would know about it first," said Chip Wall, who described her as "a fellow traveler..." "We were liberals before we knew what liberals were."

He is laying it all out there for all to see and hear!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!
God bless this man and his fervor for the truth!
I was finding this clip interesting until the speaker said “Obama’s mama was trash”. That was enough for me.
I expect that kind of talk from the loony Dems, but not from conservatives.
Does anyone know if the person posting this clip is a regular here? Or maybe a mole trying to make the site look bad?
Thanks for posting this. I saw his last video. He certainly has a way of getting your attention, and calls it what it is.

Take the clip for what it is worth.....
I think Obama’s mama was a loon, but I don’t know about her being trash. Even if she was trashy, it doesn’t make Obama trash like this pastor has said in the past. He makes some good points at times, but then he ruins it by continually attacking Obama for what his parents did.
How do you know the pastor is a Conservative? Perhaps he can just see through Obama's lies. Perhaps his words reflect black culture. And as far as the person who posted this, a different video from this Pastor has been posted on this site previously. And as far as the person who posted it, they've been here longer than you. If you want to know how long someone has been a member, simply click on their screen name, and you'll have your answer.
Teacher Foubert taugh students to question authority, and recommended books including “Atlas Shrugged”. So how does this make him pro-communist? Ayn Rand was violently anti-communist. I think you would have to have been in the classes to see how the different books were treated.
Thats over the top. I had to stop it halfway thru. You don’t get to pick your parents. So the pastor really should’nt be trashing Obamas mother like that or his father for that matter.
Consider black culture in relation to his comments. It's well known that black women have always hated, and still do hate it when white women take their men away. The 50's & 60's saw a large increase in inter-racial relationships. It was looked upon as being cool and went against the establishment. Despite the fact that blacks wanted equal rights, it didn't really extend into the bedroom, especially in the eyes of black women.
Using the terms “drug dealing”, “homosexual”, “deranged”, “Satan-worshiping”, “sodomizing”, and “bestiality” to describe the children of certain news media people is not what conservatism stands for. He made his point, and then derails with the attack of the media personalities’ children.
In my opinion, he is cruising for a lawsuit for slander.
One friend called Obama's mom a "fellow traveler." What he meant by that isn't at all clear. Here's the quote:
"If you were concerned about something going wrong in the world, Stanley would know about it first," said Chip Wall, who described her as "a fellow traveler. . . . We were liberals before we knew what liberals were."
It sounds like he was saying that they were similar people who were together at the same place at the same time and going through the same journey through life.
If he really meant to say that she was a communist sympathizer, he would probably have expressed himself differently.
Leftism in the Schools
Buried in his profile of Barack Obamas background, David Maraniss discusses one of his mothers favorite classes at Mercer Island High School near Seattle in the late 1950s:
"Their curiosity was encouraged by the teachers at Mercer Island High, especially Jim Wichterman and Val Foubert, who taught advanced humanities courses open to the top 25 students. The assigned reading included not only Plato and Aristotle, Kierkegaard and Sartre, but also late-1950s critiques of societal conventions, such as 'The Organization Man' by William H. Whyte, 'The Lonely Crowd' by David Riesman and The Hidden Persuaders by Vance Packard, as well as the political theories of Hegel and Mill and Marx. 'The Communist Manifesto' was also on the reading list, and it drew protests from some parents.
Seriously? This was the reading list? Hegel and Marx, but no Locke and Smith, the thinkers who actually revolutionized the world we live in? Late-1950s critiques of societal conventions like The Lonely Crowd and The Hidden Persuaders, but not Hayeks Road to Serfdom, Chamberss Witness, or Buckleys God and Man at Yale? Werent those critiques of societal convention? (True, Plato and Aristotle werent leftists, and Mill was a classical liberal. But there are no conservatives, free-market advocates, or contemporary libertarians.)
Its hard to imagine that parents objected to such a reading list .
But Maraniss assures us that there was nothing leftist about it:
"In tracking the Obama story this year, some conservative Web sites have seized on the high school curriculum of his mother as evidence of an early leftist indoctrination. [Her high school classmate Chip] Wall, who has spent his life challenging dogma from any ideology, and whose take on the world often veers from the politically correct, answered this interpretation with a two-word dismissal: 'Oh, crap.'"
Well, I wouldnt hold Obama responsible for what his mother was taught in the Seattle suburbs before he was born. But its pretty clear that this high school course tilts far to the left. And of course such reading lists are even more common in college. Today the lists include more racial and gender diversity, though no more ideological diversity. And this list demonstrates that you can put together a plenty left-wing reading list composed entirely of Dead White European Men (some of whom werent even dead at the time).

Sorry. My statement was unclear.
I meant to say that it is not helpful for Conservatives on this site to applaud ad hominem attacks against candidates’ mothers. Let’s leave that to the DailyKos folks.
Note that the dems like to use this type of posting as evidence against conservatives and in defense of their deranged looniness.
I guess the poster is not a troll since he/she has been on the forum 4 years longer than me. (A mole perhaps? LOL). Nonetheless, I found it distasteful and a poor reflection on those of us who bear the Conservative mantle. It’s too close to the juvenile, crass and tasteless cr** I hear about Sarah Palin.
I do not mean to disrespect the poster, only his/her recent judgment.
I don't think you need to worry about other peoples' judgment. That's why we have moderators on this site. If they find the thread offensive, they'll delete it.
I don’t know the poster. But he’s been here longer than a lot of folks.
But this man is mad as can be. And you are right...it is crass in a major way....BUT....
He is talking the way a lot of black culture talks.....and he is a black pastor.
And, he is trying to convey in the only way he knows how to convey his total disgust of “o”.
I would never use this way of talking, and you probably wouldn’t either.
But he does and a lot of blacks and white folks are listening.
His other talk that was posted here, I have had sent to me twice by email and by people that aren’t even connected.
So his message is evidently getting around. But his other talk wasn’t this volatile.
You evidently haven’t seen the Lord’s name taken in vain, as I saw here yesterday. More than once too....or the f word used regularly. Albeit disguised. But the thought is loud and clear. And...I’m not too fond of reading curse words either.
Talk about sounding like du....
Calling someone trash, that “lives trashy”, (according to that particular time in history, which he DOES say) doesn’t sound near as bad as some of the stuff I’ve seen lately.
Talking about what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, sometimes falls on very tender deaf ears.
That’s my take on it. ;-)
This Pastor and Rev. Wright have been going at each other for a while now... It is beyond personal...
This pastor absolutely hates Black men and white women couples. He is way out there just like former muslim Wright. Neither one of them seem to base any arguement on Biblical principles.
Conclusion: Both are nutso haters.
If you want proof, ask this pastor what he thinks of Clarence Thomas... you might change your mind about him.

Obamas Red Mentor Praised Red Army
AIM Report | By Cliff Kincaid | April 30, 2008
Barack Obamas childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. Smash on, victory-eating Red Army, he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.
The Red Army poem goes beyond hoping for the communists to beat the Nazis in World War II and hails the Soviet revolution. It says:
Show the marveling multitudes
Americans, British, all your allied brothers
How strong you are
How great you are
How your young tree of new unity
Planted twenty-five years ago
Bears today the golden fruit of victory!

Frank Marshall Davis
Obamas Communist Mentor
AIM Column | By Cliff Kincaid | February 18, 2008
excerpt...
"through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his 'poetry' and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just 'Frank.'
The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations."
Frank Chapman, a CPUSA supporter, has written a letter to the party newspaper hailing the Illinois senator's victory in the Iowa caucuses:
"Obamas victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. This is the old revolutionary 'mole,' not only showing his traces on the surface but also breaking through."

“How great you are (Russia)...Planted 25 years ago.”
If this refers to the start of the Soviet union in 1917 or 1918, then this would have been written in 1932 or 33. In my mother’s old correspondence, I found a letter dated 1932 from her sister who was married and living in Germany saying that this Hitler fellow seemed to have some good ideas. She later came to loathe the “fellow” and wasn’t able to get back to the states until 1948. Times change, and sometimes people do as well.
Are you suggesting Frank Marshall Davis became an anti-communist? If so, please provide the evidence.
